Stop adding new, irrelevant content.

Design fixes.
Now, stop. Don't let a dev touch a keyboard! THINK!
Now you've thought about it, start fixing it.

The sad part is odds are he stop reading this post about the same time he was proven wrong. Just about like all the rest i bet. "What they're right. What are you guys doin to me?" /tucks tail and runs for life; /rethinks the whole Tuesday Tips thing; "Maybe i should do a forum serch for next weeks." Too funny, the TT becomes a bug thread.

Let me summarize this glorious Tuesdaytip

1. Thunderhart decides to give a feature on armorbreak
2. With the history of lasts weeks desaster, he probably went for confirmation by the devs, that armorbreak is completly working as intended.
3. Armorbreak Tueday goes live
4. SonGouki states that this is a broken skill
5. Community affirms that it is borked
6. Thunderheart walks over to devs
7. After thourough inspection of the code, they come up with the statement that it is working as intended
8. The community provides undeniable figures that Armorbreak is broken.
9. At least Thunderhart acknowledges that the provided information is handed over to the devs ....

Jesus ! If this was real life software industrie you nerds would get fired, straight away. Be happy you are working for SOE and not SAP ! But serious, you guy are so clueless about this game, i am really breathless

Without sounding as abusive, I agree with the person above..

This has been on the Jedi top 10 bug list for nearly a month (since I've been checking it), yet you send publish 17 out with multi-person vehicles.

Heres another newflash if you didn't catch the other one.. -ELEMENTAL DAMAGE ISNT WORKING-, this effects ALL professions, why is it not fixed already!

No wonder SonGuki quit, it must have been like talking to a brick wall.

Thunderheart: have you checked the numbers when both "normal" armor break and the "jedi version" of armor break are applied to the same npc?

The npc starts taking less damage

Yes - we did check the numbers

Clarification please:

'we' =development, testing& communication teams (this many people can get it wrong?!?! TWICE?!!?)
or
'we' = You

'did check' = made a call and left a message on voicemail for them to call u back if any doubt over this skill (unfortunately misdialing to the janitors room)
or
'did check' = intended to check, but got side-tracked by cakes in the kitchen

'the numbers' = we checked the numbers, but not the formula's

or

'the numbers' = there where lots of numbers there, LOTS!!!

isn't this broken if you have the higher levels of it?

No, this ability is working properly.

How it can be working properly, if "usual" armor breakis actuallySTRONGER then improved armor break on LS jedi profession? (means one that comes from 2handed2 tier box is stronger then the other from 4 tier box and if you train to 4 tier (advancing) you loosing a lot). If this is "working properly" then I don't know...

Actually, those are now working. You can put one with multiple mods into an article of clothing and all of the mods will stick now. The only drawback is that they each take up a slot. I'm not sure if two of the same type stack.

And I would really like an entire bug fix publish that runs the gambit of big bugs all the way down to the little annoying bugs at the bottom of the priority list.

I love the new expansion and you guys did a really good job on the missions and the art and sound and everything there. That should be enough cool, new content to tide us over long enough for you to concentrate all efforts on nothing but bug fixes for at least one major publish. I would say scouring the bug reports, the bug threads and the correspondant correspondance with a fine toothed combis called for and would do great things for the community, the players, and the game as a whole.

Some of my pet peeve bugs:
•Armorsmith protection layers were not converted with the CU.
•Ship Details window does not close when you click "Travel" resulting in the message "You have lost the target. Closing interface."

I cant believe this thread is happening. Isnt armorbreak a top bug for Jedi and Swordsman? Dont the devs even read what the correspondents list for bugs? Amazing!

Well hopefully it will be fixed now.

basic testing

everyone says theres a bug with armour break/lightsaber armour break

how do we test this?

1 look at the code - nope the devs wrote the code therefore they will never see the bug, you need a 3rd party to find silly bugs like this

2 play the game and use the skills that are bugged, now write down the numbers and do the maths, now rewrite the code and retest by again playing the game and doing the maths

you never just look at the code that you wrote as you never see the error that you made

all this shows us the player base is that the game never gets tested by paid beta testers

(wonders if they even know what a beta tester is)

There are still many SEA's whose skills do nothing (even more so now with the CU)

There was a Dev stratics talk that they answered that SEA's were not under the scope of the CU. Multiple mods will not stick but for all the broken mods that are out there still most SEA's are worthless.
