I just wish that, after 7 hours of waiting for Starsider to become open for ONE more person, and it finally gets to MEDIUM class and I try to join and it just loads for 04350345780349803498603498 days and doesn't do anything.

I wish it owuld fecking work.

I had a similar problem. I use a 4 port linksys router, and I had to upgrade the firmware.... see router manufacturer to do this. I was getting kicked every 10-30 mins, but now i only get booted about once every 2-3 hours. Not a perfect solution but it sure helps. If you lose connection and DONT have a router, then SOE is satanic andcruel and needs to fix this horrrible problem ASAP. You can't be a real group member if you lose your connection every 20 mins! C'mon Sony! If I pay 15 $ a month, I don't want to worry about this kind of thing, and I REALLY don't want to be told that you don't OFFICIALLY support routers. That is absolutely ridiculous... and a slap in the face to a large portion of your users.

I've been playing since release and I started getting dumped by the server for the first time yesterday. It happened to me three times over the course of about six hours. It was happening to other people too, because when I went into the Launcher chat room other people were also complaining about being dumped. This is on the Bloodfin server, btw.

WEll, I use a 4 port linksys NAT Router, and I've noticed at the same time everynight (quarter after midnight) i drop connection, but can sign right back on. Now, my cable connection is a DHCP connection, which means the cable companies DHCP server talks to it periodically (usually once every 24 hours) and renews its lease on my IP. The renewing of sucha lease also require my router to renew ITS lease, and for a split second during that renewing, you lose connection, because it (might) be changing your ip address. Thats the answer I've come up with for my own very specific disconnects. Maybe some of yours are for the same reason?

Have can you have "AT LEAST" cable? You either have Cable, or you don't. You don't have AT LEAST cable. Maybe you have T1, or something.

Yo. I had the same problem. i just disconnected the router and plugged my cable modem into the computer. It really helps. Also, if you read the help info, it will say to lower the graphics rating to optimize game play. Try plugging the cable directly into your computer. If the prob doesn't get better, try minimizing the graphics/music, etc.... a bit.

It helped for me. I was getting booted 1/hour....very frustrating. not anymore!

Good luck!

An Imperial Squad leader told me yesterday on the down low that the connections issue is a feature to allow others on the full server get on.He said there wasno reason rebels should be allowed to be connected for more than 50 minutes anyways.

Keep this between us though...
