I am wondering how people get nice looking sigs with color and stuff. As you can see mine is quite bland and boring and gets mised up in the text of my posts. Any help is appreciated.
EDIT: YIPPEE! thanx for the help so far all, now i have colour and it doesnt look so bland....but there is another question...read on down the thread.

Alot of the things we used to make cool sig's have been disabled because of 10yr olds hacking the fourms and putting in X rated pic's. For instance the style = (no space) html tag is no longer allowed. Which is what you would use to get effects like the red glow around the black letters of my name. The }|{ in the 2nd line is susposed to be centered on a 3rd line and I droped MBH a few months ago and can't edit my sig to make the changes.
From what I understand all you can use now is the WUSIWUG editer and the color palate thatsprovided there.
If anyone knows of a way to get the style = tag to work I'd sure like to know.

thanx for the replies....but this is disabled now isnt it? Other posts seem to suggest that you cant make HTML sigs anymore. Is there a way to at least add a little color without using HTML?

1. Plan how you want it to look first. You have about 6 lines to work with, larger fonts will reduce that. If you are planning to double center like mine is, this is extra important.
Here was my planning for the double center:
1. I took the line with the most characters and spaces and used that as the
guide. I added 5 additional spaces to the guide line between the 2 centers so
there would be space separating them. (In my case, that was line 2 with 44+5
spaces)
2. Using the count of the guide line, i divided that in half, then in half again
to get the center point of the whole line and the center points of the 2 columns
(I tried very hard to get the character count in both columns close so that it
would be easier to line up).
3. For each column on each line i started at the center of it and set it over the
center of the guide column.
4. Spaces don't seem to hold in the HTML so i substitued ~ for each space (if you
don't see them in my sig, highlight it).
5. If you are going to try this, do it on paper first, it will save you a lot of
frustration.

2. Use the Reply button or New Thread to get to the screen where you'd type a post to the forums. At the bottom right of the typing area are buttons 'Edit As HTML' and Preview Post. These are all you'll need to get your sig and to look at it. You'll be going back and forth a lot between all 3 veiws a lot (3RD is Graphical Editor which is where you started.
3. Enter your sig as you want it to appear. If you're coping it, paste it in. Use 'Preview to see how it looks. Use the font buttons on top to change style, colour, centering etc.
4. When you have it set so it looks just like you want it, click Edit As HTML. This gives you the HTML that you'll need to paste into the signature slot on your profile (see top of screen for link).
5. If it won't accept it you may be using HTML that's not allowed. Don't copy and paste from a word processer (like MS WORD) as most of that HTML is not allowed, or copy a glowy sig, those too aren't allowed.
6. Once you've 'Saved Changes' to your profile, go back to a Reply and type anything into it and hit 'Preview Post' to see your sig. Don't be discouraged if it's not exactly right the first time, it took me many many times to get it right.
7. Below is the code to my sig. I didn't use any external programs or type any of the code manually (not even a possibility there!!). Good luck with your sig!
"<P align=center><STRONG><FONT color=#66ff00>~<FONT size=4>E</FONT>RAMBACCA~</FONT><FONT color=#000000>~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~</FONT><FONT color=#ffff00>~</FONT><FONT color=#ffff00><FONT size=4>E</FONT>LOISE~</FONT>

easy way is to start making a new post.. switch to graphical editor.. make some fancy text how you want your sig to be.. then switch back to html editor.. and instead of posting..just cut the text..and past it in your sig box
edit. oh nm..i musta skipped jiberish's post same thing
