I am on to the kill a rancor and get a tooth part.

I have killed a dozen or so rancor, but it still hasn't updated the quest log. Can someone confirm do I have to wait until I get the usual "bile soaked rancor tooth" loot drop? Or should I get a quest update as soon as I kill a rancor. Or, do I have to kill a certain type of rancor?

Clarification would be appreciated.

Just take a mission for plain rancors. So no Bull Rancors, or Nightsister ones. Just need to kill one. No loot required.

who do i speak to in bestine to start this quest?

I dont think so. I say this because I was on the Rancor mission, didnt find any, logged out and the next day I was able to find one and kill it. When I killed it I got credit...

Does anyone have a general location (besides dark forest) for the sawtooth? Anyone know what CL he is? And also how many people (if any) should you bring?

Where can you get the other arm, that looks cooler. Is that off of grevious? And how do you start that mission?
