Thread: Corsec attacked me but I had +5000 Corsec faction

You weren't scanned and found to have spices or sliced weapons???

I believe CorSec takes the side of which faction controls the city. Therefore, if Rebels control the city and you are imperial, You should get attacked. I think that's how they explained it would work.

if you LOOT a corsec id badge (not the borvo quest one, its a different icon/item) and carry it in your inventory, Corsecs do weird stuff like call you Inspector or captain or something, its pretty funny, not sure if it still works, i find these on the bazaar all the time, i think it looks like a travel ticket the one that you need, the other one that doesnt work looks like a black handheld thing, not the same

Seems to have something to do with what you may have been up to right before that NPC encountered you. For me it is having just paid for a buff in front of the star port. Right after doing the bank tip and a Corsec comes by the decide I need a lesson, of course they are the ones that pay the price.

/correct....if you are set to 'Combatant' and in a city owned by the opposite faction, the local police force (Corsec and RSF) will side with the owning faction and therefore attack you also.

I was walking through Coronet and this CorSec security officer pulled his gun on me...I told him, dude I have 5000 faction, what gives?
Anyone else have this happen? This was before publish 13...and last I checked, non-rogue Corsecs aren't aggro...

Been happening to me for a while even though i was +5000 too. I just figure they're jerks

This has been happening for months, Nym Guards would attack me when I had +5000 Nym Faction.
Always seemed pretty random.

Had same pre relase 13. Assumed it was a minor bug but usually somebody else would kill em which usually a relief as stat migration means a butterfly could have me unbuffed

That happens becase Nym's goonies use area attack so if some other person has bad Nym faction the guards will open fire and shoot at everyone and so you end up getting attacked if your close enough. I think Nym's goons are just trigger happy

I was getting tagged by Singing Mountain even though I had +5000 as well. Eventually, I lost all the Faction points 'cause I had to defend myself.

For a while there it also had to do with what kind of PILOT you were. I had a brand NEW character, no skills, no faction, but novice alliance pilot. He would get smacked around by CorSec. Also, if you have NO skills they smack you around. Take a brand new char, say Novice Brawler, then surrender Brawler, they will fire at you.
