So I'm trying to get my Warren badges today before Pub 10 hits tomorrow.
I get the compassion badge with no problem, and have the pass key and first 3 evidence disks downloaded.
So I get to the corpse with the Imperial Communication Disk, and it's not there.
It's silly that these don't respawn imemdiately, but ok I'll wait it out. 15 minutes later there's still no respawn in the corpse.
So I leave the room for a few minutes to grab a pepsi, and come back to find myself sitting outside.
Now when I go back in it seems I have to do EVERYTHING again.
Is this all right?

Im not sure what happened with you. But I ran the warren last weekend and got the second badge I needed. You do need to make sure you have the letter that you get in the big room with all the other keys. The small turret may be bugged, but just burst run past it and you will be fine. There are some good guides to the warren on allakazam.com, note I may have spelled it wrong. But thats the guide I used.

A) You don't need the Communication disk to finish the Warren. I completed it Friday evening on Starsider without it. Someone else had already gotten it and killed Turag (sp?) before I could get to him, but I was able to download the evidence and turn it it for the second badge and the FP.
B) You should never, ever expect to stay in one place when you sit down in SWG (as a longtime player, you should know that!!!). You probably just did the sit-and-slide through the walls. I sat my Starsider character down in the seats at the entrance to the Bestine starport the other day, so that I could go grab a snack, when I came back, my character wasstanding over the corpse of a Spicefiend outside the bank. I know my character didn't get up and run there all by himself.

Thanks for the replies.
This is definately turning out to be more work than I ancticipated. I came back in and of course it won't le tme use the elevator. So I had to wait 15 minutes for the 4 passkeys to spawn again. I go to do that part and the turreck hits me for 2600, and the second hit incaps me and I get instantly dbed. Sigh...

The turret smacked my character for about 2500 and one-shot incapped him, but luckily, he was already going around the corner and slid out behind the wall, where it couldn't kill him. The Warren chewed uphis Ubese jacket, too -it lost about 15k of condition while he was in there.

The warren has a couple of problems. I don't think you can classify them as bugs though. The best thing you can do is find a guide and follow it as closely as possible.
The first time I went there I was following it to the letter. I went to the control room and did not get shot at by the turret. I did not have to unlock the elevator because there were several people already there and they had done it for me. This is one of the problems. There are usually several people running the quest at the same time and they may be further along than you are. This this case it helped me because i did not have to unlock the elevator but it also hurt me because all the mobs there were killed and when they respawned I was deep in the warren and realized I was not powerful enough to kill them!! I was able to give the letter to the woman and get the badge but was swiftly killed afterward.
The second time I went I had taken the time to get master swordsman and it was a cakewalk. I cut through mobs like butter but I had to unlock the elevator this time. Luckily I was buffed b/c this time the turret decided to shoot at me and knocked my HAM in half. As i got down to the lower levels whereyou getsecond badge I realized there were no mobs. Someone must have just finished the quest b/c nothing was down there and I was able to just walk to all the evidence terms and download the disks.
The third time I was helping a friend get his badges. I figured it would be just as easy as the other times. The problem was that the door leading to the last evidence chamber was locked.Since I had never actually had to finish the questbefore I had no clue how to open it. There were no control rods in thecontainers either. Eventually I just prayed and hit the button thatunlocks the door and for some reason it opened.
Bottom line. The Warren can be very confusing and the fact that other people might have loot needed to complete it makes it appear bugged sometimes. Just go in there knowing that it can be done and you will do it.

I just got back to the roomand 3 players were camping that corpse. All of the sudden it booted us all to outside just like it did before me. I wasn't even in the room 20 seconds when it happened this time.
I don't know if this is a bug or feature, but one more time and I'm giving up. This is a waste of time.

Wow, you are having some serious issues there. Maybe there is something about the Warren where you have to keep moving. I was there this morning for over 2 hours getting lost. I had no problems staying in the place but I never stopped moving for more than a minute. First time I went in, I disabled the turret but naturally, it wasn't and blew me away. Second time, it tried but I managed to get around the bend and wait out my incap
After that it was fairly easy. A couple times I nearly died from being overwhelmed by giant hurtons, scientists and cyborg critters but I just kept moving and shooting.I had a hell of a time finding that woman and she also wouldn't give me the password for the cell. Wish I'd known you didnt need it. Would have saved me an hour of running around, waiting for someone else to do the quest.

I was sitting and staring at my screen. It did the same bloody thing-warped right out while in a sitting-on-chair position (I was sitting on the bed). Maybe next time I should stand. :/
