Is there a way to make a macro that targets the closest enemy and attacks it and what not? Any help on this subject would be appreciated

I might be stupid but it's completely beyond me why SOE has put that kind of commands in the game, unless it's to help lamers macro their way into master. Whenever I see one of those AFK-fighters I feel like writing an exploit email but I don't know if they care.

/ui action targetGroup# (# = 1-0, 1 for yourself, 2 for next groupmember in your list...)

/ui action targetGroup does not work either.

Hear hear !

Although some macro's are very handy, IMO AFK combat macro's represent the ultimate in lameness. I believe that all targeting commands should be removed from the macro list or some other mechanism should be in place to prevent it. As Vitnir states, I see no other benefit to them except than to help l33t d00ds powergrind to master in 3 days.......

I love combat macros - if entertainers and artisans can macro grind then we should be able to also.

Here's a few combat macros for you (you have to type this in exactly, matching case and spacing and everythign or it won't work):

/ui action targetSelf;

/ui action cycleTargetOutward;

/attack; (or /bodyshot3, or whatever you want in here)

/pause 30;

/ui action toolbarSlot00; (or toolbarSlotXX where XX is the number from teh top left of your hot keys 00 being the absoluteupper left)

and that's it.

For brawler...

/ui action targetSelf;

/ui action cycleTargetOutward;

/follow;

/attack;

/pause 30;

/ui action toolbarSlot00;

Me: Oh, I stopped playing when holocrons came out. I just check macros now.

Does anyone know whether there are commands for targeting (like target closest enemy player)?

If there is any you could make a simple macro that would run this command for you and when there is an enemy player around you hear beeps.

I tried to play with "/ui action ..." but it didn't work out.
