This used to be possible but i cant remember how, can someone tell me? i heard something about it being changed and cant remember how i used to do it and with the search function not working i figured this as the best place to post it.

you need to open Notepad and create a file called user.cfg
in this file you need the following lines
[SwgClient]
allowMultipleInstances=true
it is very important that you save this file as a .cfg and NOT a .txt

How do you save it as a cfg? The only option is gives me is txt.

cooy a .cfg file from ur swg folder and erase whats inside then type that stuff and save.

yeah make sure you buy 2 copies of the game, make 1 character on each account ($15 each a month) on the same server. Follow the user.cfg directions from earlier.

wow, that .cfg file thingie sounds alot easier than what a guildie told me.
he said to use the win XP Switch User feature, and have 2 Windows XP users logged in at the same time, then i can switch back and forth.

i was trying to do this dual clienting thing as well but unfortunately i cannot seem to find a cfg file in the type column to copy so i can erase the contents? anyone know what i should do?

where do you save the .cfg file? anywhere in the star wars directory?

where the heck is the cfg file?? or do i have to get one from somewhere else on the computer? i tried that and it would only let me save it as .txt when i wanted to do save as to swg

there are lots of .cfg files in ur SWG folder. copy one and paste it back in folder a message will prob come up saying replace old or add another pick add another the edit the file with the steps above and save
