Thread: Surging to Glowing in One Easy Mission

Signed on today (actually, called a friend from work and had him sign on for me) and learned I was "Surging." This, you'll recall, is 4th of 6 levels. Two steps down from "Glowing."
Did badge stuff all day. All manner of POI and goofy crap. Finally tracked down the pirates and got Honor and Hero. Still surging. Doubled my badges. Literally. Went from 26 to 52 today. Mostly POIs, but whatever. Still surging.
After my friends were bugging me to go on Corvette missions all night (because they want AV21 powerplants) I gave in and went on the Neutral Rescue mission. Got that badge. Boom. All of the sudden, I'm glowing.
So, suffice to say, this is a mission I strongly recommend.

surging is only 1 step below glowing, all you needed was a vette badge, you wasted a lot of time lol ;o)

I had to do the stupid Nym mission, did jabba and Imp, 1 hour before publish 10 and I could have been glowing

In between Surging and Glowing is "Strong." As in "You have a strong sense of the Force within you."

Also, I already had the Imperial Destroy Corvette badge. So I figured I had that covered. Not sure why ANOTHER Corvette badge would make me jump two steps, but whatever.
Just happy to have it. And glad my wasted time brings you joy.

I am glowing and don't have any corvette badges, but I do have both warren badges. I guess maybe you can do either?

warren made me go from surge to glowie. I didnt have to kill hardly anything while there, the place was so packed. It's a maze tho, and not fun.

I went from faint to glowing by visiting the Jedi Temple on Dantooine and the Exar Kun Temple on Yavin IV.

master carbs
the jabba theme park
Rebel theme park
2 warren badges
5 hard poi's
3 jedi poi's
netural corvette mission
lots of other poi's
basicly i just did that list posted else where.
logged yesterday at 11 am with a faint sense
went to temple of exar kuhn had a surge after that badge
finished rebel them at noon now i glow,
way back when my first holo said pikeman and i did not finish it because i hated hitting things with a stick.

This is what you need to get Glowing:

To even begin learning about the purpose of The Village, you will have to meet a series of requirements. The first task for starting your village quests is to meet up with The Old Man. He is in no set location, and spawns once certain conditions are met. The first set of these conditions is a preset number of badges. They are as follows:
(Author's Note: Badges seem to be the determining factor in your "visit", but there may be other factors as well.
Require Badges:
1 Profession badge
5 Content badges
AND
3Jedi POIs
5Easy POIs
2 Difficult POIs
OR:
10 POI badges that include:
1 difficult POI
3 Jedi POIs
Content Badges
Jabba's Themepark
Nym's Themepark
Rebel Themepark
Imperial Themepark
2 Warren Badges
9 Corvette Badges
Jedi POIs
Ben's hutt - Tatooine
Jedi Temple - Dantooine
Exar Kun's Temple - Yavin
Difficult POIs
Krayt Skeleton - Tatooine
Salacc - Tatooine
Tusken Pool - Tatooine
Krayt Graveyard - Tatooine
Lesser Sarlacc - Dathomir
All other POI explore badges are classified as Easy.

Glow every time. I used this template, most of my town members have used it. It works. It's not about doing a vette mission, its about doing a content mission. Pass this on to anyone with questions about glowing.

Well I logged in on Test when Eclipse was on TC2 and did /check and I barely sensed anything different about me so needless to say I was bummed out since I had
3 of my holo professions done along with 4 other profession badges
the compassion warrens badge
Imp Destroy Corvette badge
Imp Rescue Corvette badge
Neutral Destroy Corvette badge
Neutral Rescue Corvette badge
All POI's except the Yavin 4 and Endor badges
All 3 Imp Cries of Alderaan badges
the Theed Librarian badge
Imp Theme park
Jabba Theme park
Nym's Theme park
All that and still barely felt any different so I went to Exar Kun's on Yavin 4 and did /check and was glowing.
I think the badges needed are totally random. I dont think there is a set pattern, but just my opinion.

I had done all poi´s the common themeparks except the rebel one, mastered five professions, did the widow compassion badge (warren)still only "barely" glowing, then finished the warren and got imperial hero, and got the Inner Glow. So I went from barely able to feel it to, Inner glow with with the imp hero badge. I was starting to loose hope after finishing the compassion when it still read barely.
