Thread: LOL ancient bull rancor put the smack down on me

So I am walking all the way to the Village, getting xp as I go. Am almost there and have 10 minutes left on my buff. Then I see it, an ancient bull rancor. It's only one I say, I can take it with my scatter. I lay a few states on the mean beast and he immediately runs over to me and starts pounding away. I got him down to about half HAM, but then he delivers the final blow and incaps me. Inevitably he also death blows me. No problem I think as I pull out my handy hero ring. Restore my life and get the, "your grogginess will expire in 60 seconds" message. Except that's not how it happened, I immediately fell down right away as my mind wounds were in the negative. The rancor goes off to pick on a happless biz natch while I lay there. Kills the natch and comes back over and stands right over me for the rest of my incap (30 seconds.) As soon as I get up he slaps me down and kills me again. Wake up in the cloning center and fall down again! Incapped for another 90 seconds. Whew, beware of these guys.

lol, had that happen to me a few times...what is your defense and armor?
i'm master pike/fencer/medic/brawler and i can take them. if you don't have medic get it.
essential for soloing. If you have no more skill points then....tkm/fencer i guess...

quite a few pve with pistols, only a handfull of cm pvp with them though...tkm/pistols

lol i take acient bull rancors in less than 20 seconds with a 900+ dmg lva. and i dont get a scratch, i dont see any problem on them, they shoulnt be hard.
thx 90% armor and intimidate
i always stopped when i see one and killed it, but after killing 20 of them and jsut getting some crappy bile, i gave up on killing

pistols is a great prof! And the CU should help make it even better.

LOL, even a funny little story turns into a flamefest.
Yes I enjoy pistols (and believe me I was even more gimped before I picked up the BH pistols line a couple days ago.) It looks like the CU will be not allowing multiple melee profession masters as presently, so that should even things out.

Hmm. strange... I can kill these things pretty quickly with just Master Pistoleer.
