Does using it more then once on the same target have any added effect? Or do you only need to use it once?

the thing with bleeding shots is that they are stackable....which means you can use it more than once and it will do more damage. Also if a target is protected from say heat damage, when you use a gun with heat and you use bleed shot, the first shot is affected by the heat resistance but the damage over time is not, so it will bleed him for more after about 10 seconds. but to answer your question, yes you can use bleed shots more than once and actually they are very effective over time.

Using a bleed shot more than once is not stackable! However using Bleed1, then Bleed2 is stackable.

If you use bleed1, and do 200 damage, then bleed2 and do 500 damage, you will cause 700 points of damage every 9 seconds.

However if you try bleed shot again, and cause only 50 points of damage, 9 seconds after the original two shots, you will cause only 550 damage.

If however your second shot with bleed1 caused 500 damage, then in 9 seconds (again from orginal bleed shots, not the second round), you would cause a total of 1000 damage!

Hope that helps, in summary:

Bleed1 (100) +Bleed2 (500)= 600 total damage (Bleed1 + Bleed2)

Bleed1(100) +Bleed1 (50) +Bleed1(300) +Bleed2 (600) = 900 total damage (Last Bleed1 + Bleed2)

I've been reading various posts that if you spam 3x Bleeding Shots that you should get it to stick on Health. Should I be reading that more specifically as fire 1x Bleeding Shot, verify it stuck on Health and repeat? If not, how do you know that the first shot that stuck on Health isn't overridden by the 3rd shot that stuck on Action (for example).

Or am I misunderstanding the special?

It's really hard to test bleeds at this time because there isn't anyway to tell if the target is Bleeding Action, Health or Mind just by looking at their status icons. But the easiest way to test it (doubt you have the time in earnest combat, though), is to use BleedShot, and wait for the tick. If the damage numbers above the target's head when the bleed ticks are red, then it's hit health; if they're green, action; if they're blue, mind. That's really the only way I know of.

Fire BleedShot three times, and all three stick to different pools, when they tick you'll see three different numbers above the target's head. If you fire BleedShot three times, get a Health Bleed first, then an Action Bleed second, and a Mind Bleed third, the Mind won't override the other two, the target will suffer three bleeds.

Couple of things:

1. To be completely fair I think the percentages of hitting the pools would say that you are more likely to hit health on the first shot but I'm not sure. The 3 times spam is just to make good and sure. Most if not all players who have the special are speed capped so you really arent losing to much time in spamming it 3 times as opposed to one.

2. I'm pretty sure that bleeding shot stacks onto itself, meaning an extra action and a mind bleed isnt a bad thing

3. I really think the 3x spam is a player to player thing also, you can not even put the shot in a macro and still have 4-5 bleeds + burn on the health bar.

The 3x spam is with the understanding that the shot does stack because if it does not and the bleeds are overridden then verifying the pool hit would be the way to go

Ah. I understand now. I thought the bleed would reset to a new pool, not stick to a pool it hit each time. I'll test it out tonight.
