Is this quest entirely ground based or do I have to go to space as well?

The second portion of the mission is in space and if you fail you have to start the whole quest over from the begining.

after space ambush sniff about one of the buildings on yavin, your told where to look by your navi computer...............warren, right side wall, terminal, first room.........

To get past the first part when you have to go find the guy in dant space i always find him but he shuttles away what am i supposed to do? am i supposed to kill him or what?

Killing him gets you a mission failed also.....I tried both ways and going to go to bed....think you might have to disable it. Will try tom.
