Thread: Permadeath?

Please correct me if I'm mistaken, but I was under the impression that with the new jedi system perma death would be removed. If this is the case, why? The devs all talked about keeping jedi limited, so now they put in a system to where there will be MORE jedi and remove the only way to get rid of them entirely?

**edit** MAN?

I've been out of the loop for a while.

And the lack of permadeath is gay.

No offense...but it is.

Could someone post an explanation as to how death affects newly force-sensitive characters?

Also, does getting your "visit from the old man" still unlock an additional fs slot, or do you still have to grind to get that?

Thanks.

I don't know about FS death, but I can tell you that you don't get a second character slot until you become an initiate atleast.

As far as I know, there is no longer a permadeath for jedi, instead you loose xp when killed.

If you unlock your second slot and want the FS, then you will have to work for that as well, since it was in the old system that your extra slot was a jedi.

You gain access to the second slot upon completion of the Padawan Trials.

Can anyone elaborate on the idea of XP loss upon death? When does this kick in - after FS, or after padawan trials? Also, what XP is affected? Are skill boxes taken away?

Thanks for your help.

I t kicks in when you become a jedi. The amoutn lost depends on the type of death; if you clone if it was a bounty hunter kill ect. There is no skill box lost but you can get negative xp.
