Can someone tell me if the afk macro has been removed?
i have been running a macro to autokill NPC's (i know not exactly everyone favorite past time i know) and when my char goes AFK i seem to die.
can someone confirm or deny if the ability to do this has been removed.
if it has i dont mind just would have been nice to have been told.
any info would be great.
thanks

one can only hope
hopefully they'll fix it so that you cant be AFK and run a macro, and if your not AFK but stay idle then after 10 minutes you get logged off.

Good Lord, you might actually have to... PLAY THE GAME! If it's removed, I'm one happy guy.

I've seen people reporting that they stop doing damage if they turn on their /afk flag (to auto-reply to tells, for example). I'd expect getting the system-imposed afk flag would have the same effect.

I just tested. I attacked a vrelt on corellia and was able to kill it no prob. I went /afk and I wasn't even firing. I did /afk while still in combat to go out of afk still nothing. Had to peace and then attack again. I went into combat and typed /afk and did no more attacks.
Hope this answers your questions.

All I can say is:
The Resource Gods may be displeased, but at least there's hope for everyone who every wanted to loot a corpse without uber gear.
I found the notes. They were updated to be on the launchpad recently.
Even though I have a crash to desktop every 15 minutes, I don't mind because at least the money-grubbing afk-looters will get some experience making money the way that everyone else does.

I just got confirmation from a CSR after i ticketed this problem that you can no longer so damge while AFK. as soon as you go AFK you cannot do damage and this was in the patch notes. i have checked but dont seem to able to find it anywhere.
not that i mind but would be nice to know

I actually ran into this last night by mistake.
Went AFK for a few minutes to address some rl stuff. Came back and ran into town and got attacked.
Specials did not work, auto-attack did not work. I was taking damage, but I was buffed, so it rebuilt too fast for them to kill me.
Couldn't figure what it was till I remembered that I was AFK. Peace, turn it off, back to normal.

I'm happy too. Problem is though, the loot harvesters will just continue as before but not put up the AFK flag.

Damn, so I can't have afk tag up to fend off adoring fans while doing a guild hunt now?
