yay for ranged pwnage!
Anyone else remeber the original dev posts regarding ranged vs. melee.
My favorite (dev) quote back then was: "Don't bring a knife to a gun fight".

Does the snare actually last forever or does it just not have a counter?

The Snare lasts much longer than the recharge timer.
borg arms + rifle = i win vs anyone without borg arms
YAY that would ranged finally give a chance to stay alive against all the new melee doc fotms that are running around perma overt and not even are afraid for jedayyy....
I found it anyway total FUBAR that a knife is stronger than an A$$ burning Laser Shot. The role of Melee should be close ranged Tank and close Ranged damage dealer maybe but in no way the absolute fotm with uber healing abilitys uber tanking and due armorbreak uber damage without any counter.
Remember ranged has no chance to stand away from a melee since we are with our weapon equiped selfsnared with movement hinderance.That leaves us very vuln to every melee who has no movement hindrance with a melee weapon equipped. If the snare would make that equal iam more than happy.
Melee was supposed to be balanced with ranged after CU but it wasnt ..maybe it will be after this fix.
And about Jedi ... yeh this will force more jedi to stay and fight but to run leaves 2 options : 1.) learn pvp 2.) play more ure alt or lose ure banked xp.

all you melee folks need to pipe down, the devs are also adding a new food/drink, Rancor Acid.. Rancor Acid happens to be an insta snare remover (plud makes the drinker imune to futher snares for a peroid)...
all these root/snare changes have done nothing but nerf ranged combatants even more... the melee PvP supremacy will continue..

the snare changes mean with a rifle and 2 borg arms, i can snare melee from 80m and he can never touch me.
ra is just a band aid quick fix for a broken design choice.
putting a dress on a pig doesn't make it pretty, but it annoys the pig and wastes your time.

it makes no diff whether it was ok or not because it's not relevant to the discussion at hand. please try to focus on what the adults are talking about if you want to take part.
these new changes mean melee are nothing but targets in pvp. they have no chance to close and attack. is that clear enough? now stay focused on that. what happened before is not important at the moment.
