Thread: Cross Server Tipping

Hi all,
Just a quick question on tipping. I am moving servers to be with friends and was wondering if it is possible to transfer my credits across servers (Someone in game said it is but was unable to tell me how). Ifpossible could someone tell me how its done? Any response is appreciated.

no it is not and I doubt it ever will be.
Think about how badly that would mess things up.

Logically, the method for doing this, based on cross server chatting, is /tip ((servername)).((playername)) ((amount)) bank.
Now, there just happen to be about 100 good reasons not to allow this, and the devs have shown they don't even need 1 good reason to restrict something, so guess what?
It doesn't work. There is no way to cross server tip, and the only way there will ever be a way to cross server tip is if the devs finally give up and say "Oh what the heck, the game has gone all to pieces, why not give them this just for kicks". Now, we aren't quite at that point yet, so don't expect cross server tipping any time soon.
BTW, I tried this when I first discovered cross server chatting (quite by accident, boy did I feel special, hehe), because both myself and the other fellow thought it would be quite sweet to be able to do this. It didn't work, and I don't see any other way of typing a command to get it to work, since that is the way the cross-server naming and tip commands work.

GREAT books...too bad i cant find a few that are out of print to finish the series

Ya, I wish they reprinted the ones with frank frazetta illustrations.
I believe I heard they are in the early stages of planning a movie too.

the only way u can cross server tip is if u find someone who's on that server, and trying to move to yours-u have him tip ur new character the credits, then u tip his new character the credits
the only possible way to even come close to cross-server tipping

I thought they had a command for it but cant figure it out. If someone knows it or knows if they dont have it anymore please post. Thanks!

that would be a horrible move for the devs and cause insane inflation in the market.
