You need a 1.0 speed pistol to fire Last Ditch at the cap.

current crafting and slicing laws make weapons of this speed impossible with the exception of looted weapons and of course, jedi lightsabers. Minimum speed for a weapon now is 1.5, either that or every single slice I've gotten on a naturally fast or speed krayted weapon has with extraordinarycoincidence failed to get below 1.5 including slices on a full crate of 1.8 speed spraysticks for my guild.
Here is the speed cap spelled out. Slowest pistol a pistoleer is certed without profession stacking is the geonosian sonic blaster. A crafted one of these on Eclipse is generally 2.7 speed, this is also the speed of the launcher pistol on Eclipse. To fully speed cap this pistol you require a speed of 91. So 91 should work for out for most of your pistols also, if not the 3.0 speed pistol you mentioned before would require 92 speed, not a huge difference in mods when you look at it... damn exponential speed formula.

A Speed Capped Pistoleer
actualyl righ tnow the slowest pistol a pistoleer (master pistoleer specifically) can cert for is the DE-10 pistol, and that has a speed of about4.0+ without krayt tissue.... this pistol's mods also happen to be based on the combat rebalance, so it should hopefully be an example of what our best pistols will look like after the rebalance, but it shouldnt be able to make any proper sence now. they also have liek 48/78/48 hams which is absurd in the current system for a pistol.

Tell me about it. I've seen a couple of these things now and I have to say that if the devs truly believe that we are gonna use these guns, then they must be smoking it through a drainpipe these days... that or the balance is actually an entirely new combat system.
4.0 speed would require us to gain a speed of 94 to speed cap all moves. So basically BH pistols or pay an afk borgle looter 50million. Also the current combat rules make this pistol unasble unless you're buffed, those ham costs are insane.
Until the rebalance I'm going to ignore the DE-10 as a pistol for the following reasons
- I'm speed capped, but a master pistoleer isn't. If his using this pistol is a joke, I'll stick to my republic in support of the profession
- My current stats require me to be buffed to fight anyway, but ifI remove my armour and popa booster and an old skoolsunburn I can spam my other pistols relatively safely if my buffs are dead, I could never spam this weapon safely without a buff (only 400 quickness)
- I don't pay riflemen to get loot for me
- I can't loot this myself
- Everything on my server costs a million for the first month after its release unless it's really good where prices stay above that forever. A geonosian tangle blaster can still cost up six million on Eclipse.
If what I'm hearing about the balance is true, pistoleers may be effected most of all and it will seem like an entirely different game to us, but some of the combat balance is already appearing, some mobs have had old special attacks reinstated and their hams doubled, this could cause pistoleers problems unless the combat balance is to our benefit and not a mass nerf as expected by many.

Its like we are going to need group to take down quenkers at this rate
Blah i'll stick to my horde of DX2 1.7 spd acid and mod r.b.
Of course I am not going the pvp way really.
