To all Crafters doing the Crafting Quest in the Village:

I wrote up a guide in case you need it. I had posted this here before but I dunno where it went.

Good luck and if you get stuck, send me a tell or an email, I will try to help you out, Derianadai or Pirgam from Kettemoor.

This is a pretty good guide. I recommend getting several hundred units of all the resources so u can make 3 or 4 of each item before going to the village. I only had to remake one item, but I got EXTREMELY lucky with my puzzles. 3 or 4 should be enough for anyone. Here's some tips for the various components:

Configuration Processor

This one is the easiest. Looking at the 4 triangles in the center, just click them in opposite corners (e.g. upper left and bottom right). DING! Calibration completed.

Solid State Array

I noticed that the distance of movement for the sliders on the right correspond to the setup on the left. Secondly, the movement "wraps around", so that moving something beyond the edge of the set up moves it to the other side of the screen. After doing it once or twice it's pretty easy to see.

Signal Amplifier

This is the only one i got "lucky" on. I had no idea what I was doing and I somehow got it on the third attempt. Just move the sliders one at a time to see what kind of effect they have and pray u get it. If not, just remake a new one and try w/ the knowledge on your first trial runs.

Gyroscopic Receiver

This one by far is the most difficult (for me at least). Each slider affects a shade of one of the boxes. Longitude affects the left, Latitude affects the middle, and Vertical affects the right. You have to be VERY PRECISE with the shade of EACH one. I had to remake this component after failing. Each time you make it, the shade are different, but in general, pushing the sliders to the right makes them near white, while pushing them to the left darkens the perspective box. My only suggestion for this one is that once you get very close to the final shades, move them in VERY SMALL increments. Hopefully you don't need to remake the component more than 2 or 3 times.

Personally, I calibrated all 4 parts before adding them to the array. Either way it still works in the end. Good luck to all you crafters. Now back to the fs crafting xp grind

I've calibrated the Solid State array like 20 times and it wont accept the calibration. I did it with 90% integrety, but I doesn't move on. Anyone else have this problem. I screwed up the first time - went to coronet to get resources - and came back, but I think i'm just bugged. I send in a CSR ticket and got this response (Not exacttly, i'm paraphrasing)

SWG - Thank you for your inquiry, but in the new jedi system you do not get skills unlocked automatically. If you did x holocrons you get this and if you did x holocrons you get that. I hope this clears up your problem and we now consider the issue closed.

My Response - Your reply is retarded, please read the question.

SWG - Thank you for your inquiry, As you know with any project of the size of SWG there are slight issues that may effect gameplay. We are experiencing random fluctuations after patch 10 and do not have the commands to help you.

My Response - Thanks - did you actually read my post - or just let the generic auto replier answer me

SWG - Nothing yet

Nice guide, but the quest itself is actually the easy part. Even if you don't have all the resources it's pretty easy to get them. What this doesn't tell you about the crafting is the sheer enormity of the task crafters have to scale up those crafting tree branches.

To just get novice you need 50,000 Force-sensitive Crafting XP. Not so hard? Well, to get Force XP you have to convert your crafting XP to Force crafting XP over at the village elder. The conversion ratio varies, but General crafting XP gets you 1 Force XP for every 8 general crafting XP. Structure crafting gets you 1 Force XP for every 35 structure crafting XP(!!). I'm sure you can do the math, but here are some of the highlights:

(1) To do the entire Force crafting skill set (4 branches plus Master and Novice) it will take you about 4.6M Force Crafting XP.

(2) That's over 162M Structure Crafting XP.

(3) That's 32550 Gungan Head statues.

(4) That's over 65M ore and 32M crystal resources (this is probably enough to build every building on several planets).

(5) 10 BER 15 Harvesters(if there is such a thing) would take over 640k minutes on a 100% resource density location to harvest all of this. (That's 449 days. You can do the math with the typical densities we get.) Buying the resources would bankrupt the galaxy. And that's just one architect's requirements.

(6) This calculation doesn't include the power requirements, or the monetary requirements to keep a set of harvesters running that long, or the time and effort involved in moving your harvesters to new locations that you have to survey for every week or so.

Solution: Find a PA. A Big One. With lots of lots and harvesters, power, and moneyavailable.

Yes, I completely agree that Archi's got screwed for crafting fs xp. 35:1 is WORSE than weaps xp.

However, I've done a LOT of research as to what to grind with, and I found that IMO advanced droid frame units are the best way to go in terms of resource requirements. You only need DE 0002 to grind it, you get a 5:1 conversion ratio, and it's 462 xp per unit. It is still a LOT of clicking (i.e. over 13k units for one branch), but it only requires about 970k fiberplast and 2.1 mill steel. You cap at 180k xp, and after figuring it out u need to cap only 35 times for a full branch. With an agressive grinding macro, i was able to cap my xp every 60 - 70 minutes or so, which roughly equates to 40 hours of pure grinding. I was able to complete my first branch in less than 6 days. The only bad thing is the increased chances of carpal tunnel.

This FS Craft Quest Guide is very good, and extremely detailed and the following submissions rounds it out with various problem solving tips. I started an Entirely new message titled Force Sensitive Crafting Quest, before I found these other postings. (tsk, tsk, on me). But I'm happy to see that mine has some slightly newish info that also may be usefull.

But now I know where to come to find out abou the next PHASE, Yah!

Thanks Cendatinea, and all you others who are sharing your input. I won't feel like the only one now. (or maybe I should just learn how to better search the forums)

YA THINK?

Apparently these calibrations can change each time you do them and the one (or two ) that fails can be different for every person who does the quest.

My solid state array also failed, I have posted what I think finally got it to succeed. Its posted undergame guides (this section) titled: 'THE FIRST FORCE SENSITIVE CRAFTING QUEST' .

(I posted a new message before I found this one). But I guess its all good.

Hope you read it and tell me whether it helped you or not.

Very helpful. Damn the configuration processor though. Can't wait to see what the other crafting quests are.
