Once you have the game running, you can switch back and forth between window and full screen by using {alt}-{enter}.

just a quick question about doing this, does it improve things running 2 accounts on the same pc, i tend to get some lag when i run my second account at the same time as my primary and alt-tab between them, it gets a bit annoying at times. i know more ram would be a benefit as i currently only run 512mb even though for running one account at a time its perfect for me set up and i get very few problems.

Cheers

Your resolution has to be above some amount before it'll allow oyu to use windowd mode

I have heard that SWG can be run in a window instead of full screen...how can you change this setting?

in your launchpad, you'll see somewhere theres an "options" button i believe...i'm not at home to check now but i've done it b4. it'll bring up a lil window...you'll ant to make sure you're in Windowed Mode and Boarderless Mode or something of thoe natures....it changes the color a bit but has some advantages for diff reasons.

Yep, on the launchpad you'll see game options, click that, then go to the graphics menu. It gives you the option to use window mode from that menu.

Ok, so I get into windows mode using alt-enter. Now I wanted to use windows mode to easily switch between 2 active windows, which does not seem to work...Am I missing something? Alt tab doesnt work? Does not make sense that the only way to downsize.switch windows is to run in fullscreen not window.

alt-tab works for me, but i've talked to people where they can't window at all with alt-enter.. i'm thinking it may simply depend on what video card you have.

(note: i find that alt-tabbing is much quicker (1gb ram here) when both clients are windowed, or, both clients are full-screen at the same resolution as the desktop. 1-windowed/1-fullscreen crashes me eventually, and desktop res different than clients = slower alt-tabbing)

I have 1gb ram, I am using an ATI radeon 9700, and I am not trying to run 2 clients. I sometimes work from my home pc, and being able to see when things finish in background is easier than alt-tabbing every couple of minutes.

Pressing the windows key (on your keyboard) will release the mouse cursor from the SWG window, then simply bring up the desired window from your taskbar

I've run two clients in Fullscreen mode, but not windowed. It tells me DirectX cannot be initialized again.
