They way I see it, I'm not goinng spend all my time trying to figure out how to get my FS slot, thats just a waste of time. I enjoy playing the game how I want to play the game, not mastering professions that came from some blue box that I would not enjoy. If I do or do not ever get my FS slot, then so be it. At least I will be spending my time on SWG doing what I enjoy, whatever that may be, not chasing some Elite profession and not having fun.
Just Play.

I dont know if you have been exposed to Software development but if you are using the Windows operating system thenyou get the idea of broke software being shipped becauseMicrosofthas to constantly send out patches and makeService Packs to fix things that can only bedetermined in real time after it is shipped.
People thatthink thatanything can be perfect or even close are just setting themselves up for disappointment. It is IMPOSSIBLE to make a perfect game that allows you to play tick-tac-toe much less than a game at the scope of SWG.
Also there is a little thing cost benefit analysis on everything that is done in the corporate world. THIS can be seen in other industries .... did you know that a newsafety implementation on an airplane might not be inacted if it is determined that the cost of fixing the problem is not proportional to the cost of paying a few dead people's familysoff in the event a plane crashes.
Sony is balancing the cost of making and maintaining software that will keep the most subscribers with the smallest amount of effort to gain as much profit as possible. They dont care if one or a hundred of you quit because your mad about this and that because as long as they can still get people to subscribe it may balance the numbers leaving. The other thing is that Evercrack II is coming and heck if you quit to go play them then they are still getting your money.
Do you think they care? Sure they do.... they want you to play both! Why do you think JTL is coming before the combat rebalance? Because SOE will gain more subscribers by pushingJTL through than it will loose by not fixing the current game. Everyone says " Why would you not fix the game for the current players that may have been playing since launch? BECAUSE IT ALREADY HAS YOUR MONEY from the past and if you are still forking out the money for subscription to this point you will probably continue just to see what happens and not "Lose all that you have done" over the past year. I got news for you! You have not done anything of real value except stare at a computer screeen for hours on end probably neglecting other things you could be doing with your loved ones. GET OVER IT ... the right servers could get hit by lightning andwe could all bestartingover from day one (i am aware of back ups but letsimagine worst case).
What would you have them do? Test a large scale game for 4 years then release it to the public... there would still be just as many complaints as there are now. For one there would be 4 years of griping about people not being able to play then after would be people that expect MORE for thier wait. For example look at DOOM 3 is it the end all be all of games after such a long wait? Unfortunately it is impossible to please some of the people some of the time much less more because we are a society of Attention Deficiet Disorder sufferers with email!
Many people think "Ah the devs can just flip a switch and turn this on or turn this off" but there are so many connections that you can run into a butterfly effect where a seemingly easy fix can mess another area completely up. The CSR is someone that may not be even technical but they can type a search in the knowledge base and answer all the dumb questions before they pass it on to someone else. They dont have a direct link tosome coding geek in a room somewhere with Dr. Pepper cans and Twinky wrappers everywhere just waiting to put code into the official publish. There is a series of filter that a problem must go to before it even has a hope to be looked at by someone that can remotely do something about it. And heck, if the coder manager doesnt like the way the CSR slurps his soup at thelunch room he may just bury the request anyway.
Another thing is that being a dev is JUST A JOB!!! Just because you work on a Star Wars Product doesnt mean that you like your job anymore than anyone else. They go to work they try to make thier bosses happy so they can get paid. Unfortunately if you have ever been in a working environment you see that most people only do as little as they can to make this possible. Their bosses are making other bosses happy and the further you go up the chain the less it is about the "Love" and more about the "Bottom Line."
Next time you grip about something in thegame getting solved why dont you try getting some real change done at YOUR work. The fact is thatthebunson theburgers would taste better if they could bepushed through the warmer quicker but just try to get Burger King to make it apolicy across all thier stores.
Just PLAY ordont. If you play i will see you in game.

You have a good point here. A Dev is a job, but it is one that comes with a little more responsiblity to the community of people that play there game or work with their work.
All i ask is that they take some ideas that we have and implement them or let us know why they dont do some things. once we can get to that spot I will have not problem.

Straight to the point -> 5 stars
I'm playing this game in my rare free time, because i'd like to have fun, and yes, this game makes fun !
Ok, sure the devs try to do the best they can, and yes they're still humans so there will always be bugs in the software. I can live with that.
But there should be at least a minimum of communication between the devs (or their managers) and the correspondents. Yes, there is already some, but not enough in my opinion. Even if they would say us "no, forget everything you want to have us to do !" i'd be happy at least to know it.
Well enough for the moment, i'm going online now and have some fun killing some womp rats and valarians outside our city
cya online ...
