Thread: With the CU what will become unsoloable?

I know we'll have 3K ham at a mast combat prof but, even if armor doesn't get weaker, creatures are going to get stronger and one pool (health) is going to take all the damage that is now distributed to 3 pools. That last fact alone leads me to believe that a lot of the commonly solo'd mobs will take at least a small team to take down after the CURB. My Bets:

Nitght Sisters: spell weavers and higher.

All Krayts

Most Kimos

Most Rancs

Nyax

Black Sun Assasins

Blurg Raptors

Gurk King

Battle Droids

Dark Troopers for Rebs/Vet Sith Hunters for Imps

Probably more

Well I hope that's the case, is there any reason why we should be able to solo any of the things in that list?

Maybe. I guess it will depend on how effective medic will be and what they mean by mobs getting tougher. I know you'll be able to use stims w/o it but with only one pool curing bleeds will be essential and who knows where firstaid will be in the new medic tree. If the mobs being tougher refers to more ham then its just more time consuming but if it means more dps then they become a lot tougher.

I don't think dark troopers will be much harder though. They are essentially stormtroopers with a little more HAM and 1 armor rating difference.

Read the CU notes.

Everything is going to be un-soloable to advance the "grouping" aspect of the game.

I doubt anythign will unsoloable for long. people will find a cheap template/exploit/tactic that will allow them to solo anything.

As as master swordsman/tka i can solo most stuff. I hate having to find a group just to kill stuff. EQ2 pretty much forces you to group to kill alot of things, which is why I will not play that game anymore. Forcing me to group just to kill stuff will cause me to leave this game as well.

Forcing me to group just to kill stuff will cause me to leave this game as well.

I can almost guarantee you, that you will not be able to solo Krayts and NS, if thats what you're used to. That is one of the motives for the CU in the first place.

personally, i hate groups unless they have a purpose.

the only content in game (for me at least, at present) is the farce grind. if i have to find some morons to group with to go grind xp, im outta here.

the sad part is most ppl are idiots, and i certianly do not wish to group with them. then there is the loot issue, etc. groups just are not fun unless they have a reason to exist (dwb, vette, etc).

i do not want to see this game turn into 'group a rama' to kill anything beyond rills. im a rifle / ch. i am my own group, and i have pets because i hate people. don't nerf my rp

I don't see a problem with some things needing groups to take down. However they better leave somethings for the solo players to do. I don't expect to go to the deathwatch bunker solo, but I would like the Warren (for example) to still be solo'd, although very difficult. They just need to keep content around for both aspects, grouping and soloing.
