i got scanned today, and i told him he dosent need need search, and then he told himself he dosent need to search me and walked away

I get searched often when in Kor Vella. I have had more than one instance where when being searched I have been forced into being overt. Not just TEF but actually overt. They claim they recognize me from the holonet and then attack me. The first time I became overt like this was a really big surprise. I was waiting at a shuttle and thought I was covert when suddenly I got attacked. Finally after the second time this happened to me, I figured out what was happening.
I think you only get the penalty if you run before they start the scan, however if they have already begun the scan then it will be completed and updated no matter how far away you get in the meantime. Bike speeds and screen/radar update lags make this very confusing but it's just wat I think is going in here.The penalty for Imps is 50fp for running, and after 7-10 scans on me they have yet to come up with anything but, "this citizen is clean" despite that all my weapons are sliced and I always have a crate of muon for emergenices, so I don't know what happens if caught with spices or sliced goods.
To the person who run back to them, they request that you stand still where you are, and they run to you. You were probably penalised for leaving the spot where they stopped you (which is where you are thrown off your bike due to lag which can be up to 200m away). Not your fault at all, and clearly in many terms a little stupid, but I guess this is what has happened. If you intend to allow the search then probably best to just stay where you are.
