I seem to find imperial mission givers everywhere, but am having a hard time finding rebel missions. Any suggestions?

I have started doing Rebel missions and gaining Rebel faction. My question is will I have to start worrying about getting killed in town by a stormtrooper or imperial guy if I gain to much rebel faction? I havn't joined any side as of yet. Just gaining rebel faction. How does all that work? Will I have to avoid certain cities and things like that?

Thanks in advance for any info you can give me.

Your number of faction points won't get you killed by an imperial. You have to declare your faction.

Then if you declare your faction you won't come underfire unless you declare overt or get a TEF as a covert.

Be careful, though. Stormies will attack you if you have too many negative Imp faction points. You get these from killing IMPs and IMP buildings. So, if you want to be REALLY safe, just get a ton of rebel faction points doing delivery missions and stay covert. That way, no PC or NPC IMPs should attack you unprovoked.

You also cannot assist Overts by healing, etc. This will give you temporary Overt status, and a TEF for both PCs and NPCs. Note that all IMP NPCs are aggressive (all the ones I've seen anyways).

Hope this helps.

But the number of negative imperial points might

Like CmdrAsz says, so long as you are only increasing your rebel faction points and not decreasing your imperial points the Empire will leave you alone because they won't know you're a rebel. Until that is you declare or assist another rebel and get aTEF. You can even do imperial missions as a rebel and they still won't know.

Why go overt anyway? Is there some reason to other then to get the rebel logo beside your name?

By becoming Overt you can also "check out" npc's to use on battlefields and you can "build" structures on those battlefields. Some of the npc's you can check out are stormtroopers and rebel troopers. Structures include turrets and stuff like that.

I forgot to add that you can also use the npc (stormtroopers and rebel troopers) outside of the battle fields also.

TEF is a temprorary Enemy Flag. Basically it is like aiding and abedding in todays world I guess.. Be healing or helping outa rebel you are showing the empire that you are a rebel sympathizer and therefor basically a rebel to them. Healing is the main way to get this. A TEF only lasts a short time after you aid them however. Some as short as 5 minutes if not all. When doing rebel destroy missions you will notice that when you get there the DoT's are yellow however when you attack they become red. This is an instance of a TEF.

Meanwhile you could go to your next mission as a covert rebel and the dot's willmost likely be red (IE they will attack you) and if you sit there for a short time they will turn yellow again showing that your TEF has expired.

Now about Faction points... Until you declare I think the most points you can gain is either 300 or maybe like 325 or something. After you declare as either Overt or Covert you can gain 1000 points. After that if you wish to gain more you must get a promotion. For instance the first promotion costs 400 as I recall and will allow a new point max total of 4000. As I recall most said the new cap was always 10 times the number of points it costs to buy the promotion.

Hope it helps anyways....
