Technically, you don't need this info untilthe expansion isactually available.

With JTL, you had to purchase the expansion for each account you had. What expansions you have "enabled" is probably linked to your login. So if you have two accounts, you'll have to purchase it twice.

The Lucasarts press release makes a big deal about this being downloadable, although I would expect that a hard-copy will also be available in stores. The IGN article mentioned a compilation pack containing SWG, JTL, and RotW.

Resuming broken downloads is a pretty well-known technology. If I had to guess, I'd say that the online purchase of RotW will enable your login for RotW, and each time you log in, your client will check whether you've got all the RotW files (both the initial release and any updates/patches specific to RotW). If you don't, it starts downloading them. Buying the CD will save you the initial download (probably pretty big since it involves art assets for a whole planet).

I'd like more info as well. Specifically...

1. details on cybernetics...can jedi use them, are they permanent or decay ?

2. will kashyyk be a no-build zone planet ?

3. does this mean our game's time period is moving up a bit (currently between episode 4 and 5) and if so can we assume Hoth isnt that far behind (the argument always being hoth can't be added since episode 5 is later)

we are respecting no timeline...

hoth happened way before episode 6...its just then that the imps attacked..

kashyyk will be featured in episode 3 for the first time ever...sooo....we are moving backwards if u wanna go by timeline

and i dubt kashyyk will be a building planet since everyone there is a slave or is with the empire.

I was REALLY hoping for Hoth or some type of snowy tundra planet - perhaps with the beginnings of contructing the rebel base there.

I do believe that the articlementions that the cybernetics can be removed or applied at any time. As for jedi and decay, your guess is as good as mine.

2. will kashyyk be a no-build zone planet ?

Probably, i imagine it will be something along the lines of Yavin/Dath/Endor.

Continuity and SWG? Wha?

Actually, I think the dev's will be coming out with a new type of buildings for the new planet. I really hope that they can make it possible to build a tree home. But, not by using an existing tree and building on top of that; but by creating a player placed tree mesh that comes with a house in it. The front door opens and you simply jump into a cool wooden elevator and ride up to the house portion. Again, these are just thoughts!

Huh? We are between EpisodesIV andV and most of the stuff pretty much fits into the timeline. (with the big exception of Jedi - and the smaller exception of battle droids) Not sure what you mean by the Empire attacking. They did blow up Alderaan in Episode IV.

Kashyyyk will be featured in episode 3 for the first time ever...sooo....we are moving backwards if u wanna go by timeline

Well, it's featured in Episode III, but unless it is completely destroyed in Episode III it will still be around after Episode IV to be explored in our timeline. It still fits in the timeline we are supposed to be in just fine without going forward or backward.

and i doubt kashyyyk will be a building planet since everyone there is a slave or is with the empire.

I really hope (or wish) that they do something with Hoth, but I can see how they want to tie this in witrh the movie release and hopefully get lots more subscribers. I just hope that SWG Ex. III willhave Hoth.

Some of my pet peeve bugs:
•Armorsmith protection layers were not converted with the CU.
•Ship Details window does not close when you click "Travel" resulting in the message "You have lost the target. Closing interface."

I VERY seriously doubt the expansion will contain Hoth. From JTL Inow see the nature of SWG expansions, and that theyre probably going tobe low in content and plentiful in number, like in EQ.

Unfortunately the only planet it looks like were gonna get is Kashyyk, a pathetic combination of endor and yavin.(probably same models too.)

HEY DEVS! how bout stop being so cheap and listen to what your fans want!!!?

The thing that really bothers me is that Lucas Arts did the press release on it a couple of days ago but SOE still haven't actuallytoldthe players.

If the expansion announcement is the only friday feature tomorrow I am going to be really mad.
