Each week, Q-3PO started a thread for you to share game tips with fellow players. Tuesday Tips will continue on. Have a little known command you use all the time, a cool place to visit, a trick (non-exploit) to getting more out of the game? Share it here. Since TH is out he asked me to post one for this week (shhh I took this from his secret stash of tips)

Combat Positions

If you are having trouble killing a target at range, change position to kneeling or prone (lying down) and youwill improve your accuracy. But on the down side.... once they get closer you are more vunerable to melee attacks.

Here's one for the devs.

Tell the community and let them know whats going on with Publish 10, and post 9 unlockers! It's very easy to do!
------------------------------
You can send the same tell to multiple people by doing /tell Name,Name2,Name3 message

Sorry Garva, if it seems people are taking a chunk out of you...

Everyone is ansy with the lack of response re Pub 10.. Its certainly not your fault, but the front line always gets the first brick..

All hail to /bo trans

/bo trans ??? are you people crazy! so much typing involved lolol.. Just do /bo tr works the same thing and 3 less key strokes! yay

and here's a tip the devs are getting rid of from my understanding, the /m command (macro)

Lets say you wanted to make a spam macro loop every 45 seconds, real simple

Name the macro spam when you set it up

/shout Buy my crap at my vendor;

/pause 45;

/m spam;

this will loop the macro

same thing as a center of being macro

name the macro center

/center;

/pause 30;

/m center;

Hmm other tips, cant think of any off the top of my head, i know in theed at least you can board the shuttle from as far away as the cantina as long as the shuttle is "in dock" it wont work if its not there but obviously there is no shutlewait if you click the collector.

You can target yourself by using the /ui action targetSelf comand, and if you do it, do a /consider and see what it says, sorta funny lol.

I myself am looking for the apprentice ship points macro which i cant seem to find. lets say i wanted to learn and unlearn range support 1 over and over to give someone AP, anyone know the commands invovled?

Heres one for the people who have not finished the Imperial Retreat

Many people, myself includding has gotten stuck when you have to find the slicer I believe it is for..some guy...forgot his name. Anyways, normally when you go talk to him he attacks you and you end up killing him.

I have the solution to all your problems...

Kill him

immediatetly type /conv BEFORE YOU LOOT HIM

thats it, you can talk with him while he's dead but I would type /conv fast in case it doesn't work after he's dead for so long. I did this for a few quests in other places besides the imperial retreat.

There are times when "/bo tr" won't work, but it will work if you type "/bo trans". /shrug.

I think Garva is trapped in these forums much like General Zod and his cohorts from Superman II were imprisoned in that flying pane of glass.

Try kneeling or going prone in PVP and find out what happens before giving people tips on using this....

Dude really this is the Tip? Going Prone or Kneeling is more accurate? Come on guys at least lets post some tips ourselves.

-If you want a Good fight go to Dathomir. Go to the Topmost outpost ( research outpost ). If you go West from here about 2-3k meters you will run into Rancors everywhere. I went there last night and got about 1 million Fencer XP and 50k ranger Xp.

-This to me is the fastest way to get XP if you are grinding. Just keep running around this area and its nothing but Rancors.

I'm sorry but this is a tuesday tip that should have been posted on 8/24/2003 not 8/23/2004, 14 months after release. This is a complete waste of forums bandwidth.

Meanwhile, post pub 9 unlockered remain in the dark as to the fate of there months upon months of hard work grinding, and you give us prone= better accuracy but less defense. Weak!!! don't mean to flame, I know you guys are busy as hell, but come on.......

We all the knowdevs like to read the feedback on threads they start, heck everyone else is the same.

Garva, you and the rest of the dev temknow that we, the community wantupdating on publish 10's progress, yet we've been kept in the dark for so very long. Where the heck is TH and if he can't grace us with his high and mighty presence to let us in on some much deserved info, then why can't someone else temporarily fill his shoes. Do you have ANY respect left for your customers or do you just like taking our money and then sneering at us behind our backs????

This is probably a really old tip:

If your droid has storage capacity, you don't have to use the radial menu to put stuff into the droid when it's out. Simply drag the object over the droid and if there is room in its storage bin, it will take the object in and keep it for you. You still have to open the storage window to get it back out, however.

Combat Camera Views

If you are fighting creatures that are particularly tall such as rancor or pickets, or want to get a wider view of your pve and/orpvp battles try going into the graphics options and raising the "Field of View" tab. This will let you see a much greater area and manipulate the camera to a much higher altitude.

Or just use the mouse wheel to zoom in out out with the "Field of View".

There are apparantly 9 programmers on the team, a good portion of which are on the JTL project. Sure .. they could get more ... but you ultimately end up with a "too many cooks" scenario.

They are working hard ... speaking as a programmer myself ... Dev team ... keep up the good work ...you made a good call on the delay.
