When enough people have completed their path, we will open it up the village to the next group. Groups 1 – 4 will qualify for a visit when the village traffic has died down. Of course, if you qualify for the visit under the new system, you will automatically be granted a visit from the old man.

Well...
Holo-grinders automatically qualify, and when they will be let in depends on which group they're in. They do not have to qualify under the new system and can still get into the village as credit.
Read the last line carefully...
Unless I'm reading it wrong, if you qualify under the new system, you will automatically be able to start the quests, etc.
Isn't the "start" of the Force Sensitive quests the visit from the old man?
I do hope TH clarifies this.
And to those of you canceling your accounts over it, good riddance.
With you gone, the game is probably a better place anyways.
Finally someone with common sense. The devs arent being clear, but at least understand them before you flame them.

Gated? How is it gated? Any hologrinder gets automatically into the village, but how soon you get in depends on how much you holo-ground (is that a word?).
If you want in now, play under the new system. The new system does not fall into any group and once you qualify under the new system, you can access the Village.

You are sooooooo too late. On page seven of that thread, I decided I'd had enough and unloaded with the same sentiment as in the last sentence of your first post. In all caps. I suspect I have made no friends.
Gave your first postfive stars for that line alone. GDI, get these whining, instant gratification, no-life, children-in-adult(?)-bodies outta here so some of us can enjoy the game.

A gate. As in to prevent access. As in to not allow someone or something to proceed untill such times as the gate is opened or removed. As in gated access to the old man's visit.
I don't have a problem with post patch 9 unlockers getting immediate access. I don't really have a problem with the almost all profs done people getting instant access. I do have a problem with waiting 3 weeks or possibly more as TH stated on page 7 of the official confimation post and having no way to know when I WILL be allowed access. I fall may be in groups 2 - 4 who knows, if its 1-3 days for the visit for the guys getting immediate access then who knows how long it'll be for each group. Will it make much difference to the way I play the game? o, not really but it is a disapointment to only hear this 2 hours after the patch goes live.
To that the grinders even though not necessarily better suited to be jedi, have been working on it longer or harder so yea they are going to go first. Really I don't care. I'm begining to think this game would have just been a lot better if jedi hadn't been added, because all it's done is cause more problems and waist time. But nobody really cares if they become, cause they are only interested in themselves. I would just be nice if everybody could just play this as star wars game. Jedi knights everywhere just doesn't fit. Why can't people be happy with a normal profession? Just because a few people became a jedi way back everybody else decided that they would too or at least try. Yea the Devs screw up things, but so do the players.
