Well, if you are glowing under the new system but did not holo-grind you are in a group way down the list according to the new post by the devs. Yep thats right, no visit from the old man indefinately unless you hologrinded. As always, a little communication goes a LONG way. You wait till announced dates for patches then don't tell anyone its been delayed until after everyone becomes dissapointed. You hype up patch 10 saying we can all be jedi, but of course thats not true not either. We can handle delays, we can handle waiting for the old man... but for God's sake please communicate better or you really tick off your customer base. Thanks =P

i think the devs need to treat veteran roleplayers with the same if not more respect than hologrinders. its pitiful now how the hologrinders get everything they want and we get nothing

Dusk you're the one thats wrong. They have given us no time table whatsoever on when the lower groups will be into the village. That is the problem.

funny thing is, i never wanted to destroy my charcter by doing all the holo-crap, so i played, and had fun. when all this hit, i looked and my 'just playing' had me only 2 badges short of glowing (the warren). 45 min later, and i glow like a drunk at 5 am on free booze day.
just goes to show that doing your own thing pays off sometimes too. and im sure i had much more fun than the grinders.
and now the wait to start the new jedi kill spree begins. just kinda funny how path to jedi (now killing sprees, i mean trials, and the old kill everything for a holocron) all seem to be paved with the blood of thousands of creatures / sentients. power thru death i guess....

Here is my understanding of what the post by TH means. There is a new system, and if you are "glowy" in the new system then you automatically get a visit. They are rewarding players for the previous system, and if you are not glowy in the new system you can fall into any of the groups based on your advancement in the old system.
So in summary you can qualify for an immediate visit if you fit one of 3 criteria. Either you are glowy in the new system or you were 1 prof away from finishing or finished in the old system. If you never become glowy and are in one of the groups then you have to wait that groups turn. Of course the TH post wasn't all too clear, but I hope I am reading that right.

Me too...I've not mastered a single profession nor completed the corvette, but I feel a surge of the Force already...ironic.

Dan, you are correct that they have not given any specific timetable for allowing the lower groups (hologrinders) in, but the last sentance states that anyone who qualifies under the new system will be able to get in immediatly. No waiting.

Umm not true at all. Ive been glowing since I looged on this morning at 9:15am, 6 hours later, and still no old man visiting me.

Here's the the thing. All you people who have interpreted TH's post to mean those that are blue glowy's in the new system get an automatic visit. Are you a blue glowy? Have you been visited? I suspect the answer is no and your interpretation is wrong. I am a blue glowy and sat out in the wilderness three + hours and the only thing that visited me was a crystal snake. TH's post simply says that those that played the game are screwed and those that grinded endlessly and helped ruin the game are rewared. Yet another example of how SOE and SWG has screwed over its loyal customers.

My bet is this means post 9 unlockers. Im glowing and havent seen the old man. Gotta love SOE, even when they finally "communicate" with us, they leave the door wide open for interrperation.

Please read his whole post, even if you qualify for a instant visit you won't be visited for 1 to 3 days. Be patient.
