Since Pikeman is so state-based, I thought (especially after reading through antares's new Pikeman FAQ 3.0) it might be a good idea to see where the states fall.
I'm still debating how to organize and sort the lists, mainly just stole the formatting from what I used with the damage multiplier thread, so if you have any ideas, go right ahead
. Apart from how it looks, I need to verify the effects of the Scout traps, but I'm all but certain they're spot on. Also, anything listed as belonging to Scout or Ranger is a trap, and can only be used on creatures.

Yeah, that would be cool. so people thinking about switching to that profession can see at a glance what states and attacks they get.

Well, I tried two different approaches with the formatting for both sections. Oddly enough, I think both work out pretty well (just that the first post gets a little ugly with Commando and Combat Medic).
The one thing I'm thinking about is to invert the way I'm listing specials (since Emote brings the point up that this is reference for comparison, names are less important then the state then). It would rather clean up the Commando section...

Only way to make it worthwhile is to lose the information on the type of AoE (standard, Cone or Impact) though, but I think it serves as a better reference for what you're saying Emote (the second post could serve as the long version, with AoE type and linking across the four sections). Another possibility is to color-code between single-target and AoE which would make things more concise, but at some decent loss of clarity (I'd think).

For Rifleman: Advanced Startle Shot is a daze effect/posture up, the daze works until you hit the target again or it wears off.

Nope, you're right they are the Brawler versions. Might differentiate between a Novice version and an Elite version of a skill next update.
Mainly it's to show all the options available from one profession, but it would be useful to know that switching from Swordsman to Pike means loosing most of your Armor Break... thanks!

First I would like to say awesome guide, and thanks for taking the time and effort to do this.
I did notice something though. Now I am not postiive but i think that you may want to mention that the armorbreak for pikeman and tkm is just the basic one, recived from the brawler 0040 prerequisite. So I dont know if you can fully count it, seeing as how it is not that effective.
Also the bleed for swordsman i belive is gotten form the brawler 0400 prereq.
If I am wrong please correct me, because that means that i am not even close to tapping the surface of my temp.

One little point, the LP for commando does not produce a fire DoT.
Otherwise, love it, really shows how commando is only a 1 in crowd controll

Really? I remember setting folks on fire with it occasionaly, really pissed me off when it broke Concussion really quickly.
