Skaak Tipper Muggers outside Kaadara drop the components pretty regularly. I ended up with 5 burners, readers, repair kits, and software.

I made a few of these today.
First you need the following from Naboo Thugs
- datadisk repair tool
- Magnetic Burner
- Magentic Reader
- and the recovery software
Second you need the following from Corellia Thugs
- Corupt Datadisk
Third you need the following from Lok Thugs
- Wiring
Put all 5 units into the Datadisk repair tool and you will generate one datadisk. It seems as if the datadisk goes into one of the other kits. Possibly to make the new paintings. Of course this is just my opinion. No flames needed here.

Odd. I looted a Datadisk Repair Kit(looks like a muon)from a Skaak Tipper Mugger outside Kaadara, along with the Magnetic Reader, Burner, and Recovery Software. Added all three of those to it. I then looted the plain Wiring from a Canyon Corsair Destroyer on Lok, added that. I bought a Corrupt Datadisc from the bazaar, dumped it inside and the kit did not make anything. And since there's a bug where it still only says 0/5 contents, it's hard to tell what the kit is supposedly missing.

I finally finished up this thing last night. During loot pass #1, I aquired all the components to make a working datapad. I found alot of the parts in the Aa'kuan cave on Talus. Once loot pass #2 happened, I got all the parts to make a working datadisk (what you get with the magentic thingies, wiring (got mine in the Aqualish caves on Talus), corrupt datadisk, wiring, and datadisk repair kit). After you fix the datadisk, you can drag the datadisk to the working datapad and it converts to a little piece of literature that you can read by clicking the "use" option in your inventory. Mine came out about how to properly prepare meats. For instance, apparently you can cook sarlaac meat at 500 degrees for 6 hours.
All in all a pretty useless loot, however it's something to keep you busy until the Combat Upgrade. If anyone wants more info, I can post a screenshot of the finished product and you too can learn how to ensure that your gnort has been properly cooked.

I looted all the needed components from the mobsDawinGamond listed above and made 3 Disks and 3 empty Datapads. I inserted the Disks into the empty Datapads and got 3 stories.
The first one was identical toDawinGamond's (about cooking different animals). The second was a paragraph from a book of laws. And the third one was called: Blue Harvest (chapter 1). As far as I understood it was a part from a book. Pretty interesting to read...
I wonder if I can make the whole book if I make some more Disks and Datapads...

Just be careful as these seem to be bugged. I inserted all the components except the wiring into 2 kits. Logged out and back in later to find the wiring and put them in, but nothing happened.
Workaround is to put all the items in at once. I'm not fooling with these anymore until they are fixed.

That's cool how they managed to sneak "Blue Harvest" in there...
(If you don't get it, you're not a SW geek, don't feel bad though.)

I got an Imperial report about Alkharan activity on Tatooine, and another oneabout a research facility or something. Seems there are a lot of different ones around.
