Thread: What about Credit for those who didnt unlock ???

Umm Im pretty sure when credit was first mentioned it wasn't in refererence to post 9 unlockers since they didnt even exist yet. However for some reason everyone is assuming only unlockers will be given credit at test center forums. They mght be right scarey enough. There are several others like me who did 1-2 holos and DIDNT get any credit for them. Im not expecting jedi handed to me, however I do expect 4-8 skill boxes done ( 2/5 done since i did 2/5 holo professions). I didnt get any credit and no devs seem willing to respond to this ???

I played on test center 2 by the way (eclipse copy) and got permission to enter village. I spoke with Paemos and got all my xp converted. I then trained for novice combat prowess by another npc. I then did the 8 quests required by Dageern (sp). I then tried again to get training from Paemos, again I got nothing. This better dam well be a bug.

ps. i hope this isnt going live anytime soon as its terribly bugged. I didnt get the melee powerup reward, nor did anyone else. Yet test center thread on bugs is closed without anyone getting to report it. Sounds like devs are listening to us like they always do... with earmuffs on.

Those that have NOT unlocked on TC-Eclipse but did do Holocrons were getting tree unlocks AND all xp for the 4 boxes in that tree. However, you must use an unlock then imeadiatly use the xp given to train in all the boxes or you will not get all the xp needed. The FS xp is capped at the amount needed for Novice + 4 boxes in one tree.

Example

I have 4 free unlocks. I use unlock1 and then get my xp (1.2mil). Before I spend that xp I use unlock2. I then go train and am only able to train 4 boxes in one tree.

I use unlock3 and get my xp then I go train and get the 4 boxes. I use unlock4 and get my xp then I go train and get the 4 boxes.

Hope this helps.

We will announce the proportional credit for those who have not unlocked soon. It will be fair as well.

So based on this I can assume credit is coming, whew. I still dont see how this publish will be ready though in 5 days. Many of the missions never would spawn. Sometimes you'd get weird responses from an npc (one told me they lost track of sith and to come back tomorrow). I relogged and fixed that hehe. The reward for the combat quest (some uber powerups with unlimited uses) doesnt show up in inventory.

Still confused.... once I enter the village for the first time I should do what... talk to Paemos and convert xp ? When I spoke to him a few days ago at first he still wouldnt train me for anything so THEN I did xp conversion.

Also, should I convert xp first then ask for an unlock ? I dont want to lose credit for all my xp I have now.

I guess its too late try again as Ive already converted my xp. Still something doesnt seem right as I barely had enough xp to qualify for novice combat prowess (nothing else) and then asked for training from Paemos and again was rejected. Maybe its semantics here but not sure what is meant by unlocking skills (training from Pemos) ?

What I did,

Entered village and talked to Paemos. I asked him for training, he says Nothing to be trained. I then converted my xp and had another npc train me for novice combat prowess. I asked that npc for training, course he said no cause I was out of xp. I then went back to Paemos and asked for training, again nada. Im confused here... who is the npc that gives me 4 skill boxes for my holo ? Dang I hope this isnt as confusing when it goes live. I picture many people messing up and not doing this right and losing millions of xp because of the cap.

This seems correct with what I've read on the Test forums. Would make sense also. Post 9 unlockers get the 6 trees, plus the Xp needed to fill them. Logic would then dictate that people, like me, that did a percentage of the work to unlock (whichever you want to believe, 4 holos only, or holos + profs), would get the tree plsu the XP to fill it.

Just be CAREFUL. If you unlock 2 trees and they do give you the XP to fill them, you will lose 1.2 million XP. 1,200,000 x 30 = 36,000,000 possible FS XP lost! Unlock a single branch and fill the tree before doing another one.

This is where Im getting confused. What does unlocking a branch mean actually and which npc does this ? Do you mean train for novice first ?

As I understand it, you can train the Novice boxes, but in order to unlock the first box of each branch (Like Luck, Persuasion, Melee Defense, etc), those require a quest. This would be what the free unlocks should get you.

Perhaps you did the first part BEFORE they added the unlock = full Xp system. This might have bugged you in that it maybe only gives it to you when you unlock the branch, and not afterward.

As for what NPC gives what, I'm not sure. I got on TC2 for a while, but wasn't able to stay.

whew, can devs make this any more complicated. I thought I was limited to only one npc quest per shift ? I did the melee speed one.

I read it, makes me want to quit lol. I still dont see an answer to my question. At first it appears I would need to do the following...

1.) need to immediately unlock a skill first (apparently it doesnt matter which?)

2.) convert xp to Paemos (so I dont lose it before I ask for an unlock)

3.) Ask Paemos for one unlock, can be any unlock regardless if I did the quest to unlock it ???

4.) Use xp granted for one unlock to train for a skill box, regardless of which one. No idea at this point if I train for this skill from Paemos or just go to Nolden for training.

5.) repeat step 3.

Is this the basic scenario ?
