Thread: Jedi master
well.. considering everyone is looking for them... and hoping to open the FSS (Force Sensitive Slot) no one will give out Master location.. that way only a few can be Jedi
if that information was known.. then once everyone open the slot.. everyone will be Jedi (well almost everyone hehe)
I thought it was already established that talking to the Jedi master was NOT the way to unlock the slot.
i read in the faq , the dev said something about the jedi master player can take in his/her own apprentice..
i thought this was a cool idea, and if it meant that the first Jedi master player will have something to contribute to the future of all jedi's in some way... .. so this was one way i thought would be a cool idea:
the jedi master player can take in only one apprentice, and a new xp pool is shown... this would be something like the force knowledge pool...
as the apprentice hunts..etc. the apprentice gets 20% xp boost or whatever, since in a way, one can learn faster and better with a 'guide' or 'mentor' or whatever, every time the apprentice completes a skillbox, 20% of that xp gets added to the force knowledge pool, and once there is enough force knowledge points, both the jedi master and the apprentice gets a +1 additional life to 'share'....along with their default amount of accidental deaths the devs implement.... so if the master fails to protect his apprentice in a dangerous battle..etc...the apprentice automatically uses up the gained +1 additional life, if there is any at all, and make this only happenonce they use up their default amount of accidental deaths, if there is any...if there is no +1 additional life left, and if the apprentice perma dies, then all the force knowledge gained is lost, and the bond is broken...
the jedi master also should allow their apprentice to take in their own apprentice once they reach jedi Knight, sort of like (obi-wan and his master, or obi-wan with anikin), the consequence of allowing this would be getting even 'less' force knowledge xp added to their pool everytime the jedi knight completes a skillbox (since in a way, the jedi knight is still learning but at the same time trying to teach a pupil, ..multi tasking can be hard and this would reflect that)....and for the jedi knight's apprentice, when they get one, the apprentice will also gain xp bonus from hunting..etc, except it'll be much lower bonus then if it was from a jedi master and a force knowledge pool isn't created between these two until the jedi knight reaches Master status....however, this extra bonus xp could be added onto the Jedi knight's bonus xp that he gains through his Master...and this way, he can stay ahead of his apprentice...and if the apprentice ever catches up to the Jedi knight, then the apprentice will never be able to progress any further, until the jedi knight progresses, or until the bond is broken because of a reason like, the apprentice felt he/she had learned all he/she could learn from the jedi knight, his/her teacher, and so he/she seeks a more powerful jedi to apprentice under...
the jedi master or the apprentice can break their bond...and go their separate ways, but as a consequence all additional life points and the force knowledge xp gained into 'their' pool, would be gone...and the jedi master can't take in the same player a 2nd time as apprentice...this would apply for the jedi knight + apprentice relationship as well.... and once the jedi master's apprentice reaches jedi master him/herself then the force pool knowledge will still exist, except this time gaining it would be through battles..and the force pool would double the amount, so it'll be twice as much to gain more of the +1 additional life in which they 'share'....and of course, if your long time jedi master friend, suddenly dies, who was once your apprentice, or who was once your master, with no +1 additional life left...and no default amountof deaths left, then the bond breaks andthe forcepool is lost...
ok i can't think any further, their might be loop holes in my idea or my idea might just suck ...oh yeh, i hardly know anything about the star wars continuum and or how the jedi 'order' or whatever you call it actually works, like the ranking system..etc, i just formed these ideas based on starwars movies ..i can't remember a single one though, maybe bits and pieces...i do remember episode I and II though, the 2 new movies..... but I think it would be cool if a Jedi Master player will be able to take in an apprentice, but in the faq, i can't figure out if this means just by 'roleplaying' or if it is actually going to be 'coded' in the game where you literally apprentice a force sensitive player....anyway, ... off i go..
