i did the quest a week ago an it was bugged an didnt open ranged combat,pedmos told me i could learn it but not unlock it,so what i did was go an max out exp an exchange it so i qualified for novice combat prowess box.Then iwent an saw noldan(or what eva his name is) an he unlocked it for me by teaching me the novice box. hehe easy

Um correct me if im wrong but thats not a bug....thats how its supposed to be . You do the questo unlock the branch. Then you have to train the NOVICE box THEN train the column that you unlocked.

u should get it when u speak to the captain,but u dont cos he is bugged,an cos people havnt got the unlock they havnt got the fp points.

lol... The novice boxes do not need a unlock.. to actually train the skill box in a branch you must unlock it, and from what you said you did not achieve that.

it works for some and doesnt for others. Your method may be false do to your lack of knowledge of what kind of bug this really is. The captain doesnt confirm completion to anyones quests but to some, it may be completed anyways. This is what happened to me. I am freely able to train in all the boxes I unlocked ((Which are currently two with three already filled)) and one of those trees being melee defense. Dun wanna completely put down your theory, but it seems highly unlikely to be a loop hole around the bug

the bug is: when you killed the sith for the captain, he says to you, u got to much on ur plate at the moment come bk when you havnt. there for when u press ctrl an s the combat prowess tree are not being unlocked. Where if the captain was woking it would come under ctrl s.its only once u get enought fs an get noldan to teach you the novice box of the combat prowess,that u get the combat prowess unlocked.

not true I think. I believe you could always train in any novice FS profession. The quests unlock the trees beyond novice, not novice itself. You can train in any novice FS tree and it will always appear in your professions menu. I am able to see each FS profession even though I have not trained in them. However, if I decide to bank any xp for oh say "heightened senses" I could train in it because novice boxes do not count for anything. They dont require skill points, they dont give you anything special, and they are not counted on your path to becoming Jedi Initiate. It worked for you because you did not have the bug, not because of some loop hole you think you encountered

i did have the bug,same as everyone else,an doing that has unlocked it for me. i got the captain saying to me ur plate is to full.i'd like someone else with the bug to try it an see if it works for them. i now had 3/4 ranged speed box's filled thanks to that.

those in red are not the indicated bug others speak of. The bug is, that once you kill all the sith shadow, you are unable to train in the FS boxes and your journal does not record that you completed your quest. You completely overlooked checking your quest journal and I know this because you would know that the quest journal is what you mostly check for your progress in the mission. If your quest journal does not show completed or unlocked ## tree then you cannot train in those trees. No where in the quest journal does it ever say that you unlocked combat prowess or enhanced reflexes obtained.

yes it is the bug,read the other form post,it the captain saying u not done the quest when you have.

kinda the point I was making. You could have finished the quest without even knowing till you actually tried training in it. Still do not think you found a loop hole
