I've been gone from SWG for a very very long time, about 2 years, and when I left I remember that Jedi were perma-death after 2 or 3 deaths and you unlocked a FS slot -- I take it by reading these posts that things havechanged. Also, when I joined the Empire and things like that back when the game first came out, I got no Badges for any of it, but now I'm reading from your posts that I need badges like that to get a visit from the "Old Man" to get into the Village, etc etc... What would I do? Leave the Empire and then come back? Do characters that have been around since launch need to do the badge portion to get into the village? I askbecause I read something about a pre-publish 9and characters being automatically granted access to the village in another post ---->(Note that pre-publish 9 Jedi are automatically granted access to the village and do not need to do any of the following, they can simply go straight to the village and enter it. You’ll need to visit Rohak first to get a Quest Journal Force Crystal before you can do any of the quests though.)

Is the character you are asking about a Jedi?

The answert the base question, no, Pre-Publish 9 characters (non Jedi) are not granted automatic access ot the village. You still need to hold the requisite number of type of badges (Visited Obi Wan Kenobis House, Jabba's BadgeofTrust....)
