I am now padawan. After playing the game for nearly 6 months i am now on the long grind to being uber
i killed mel yesterday evening and had only one bugged trial (the one where you have to find a blaster on a corpse). i solved it by getting off my bike about 100m from each WP.
best of luck to you all with your grind

id be happy if they jus took out nade grinding from the game. i mean i did it iwont lie, but it took me 2 weeks of casual play. im talking 5 hoursa week at the most. to grind through the village. nade grinding plus double xp week had somthing to do with it too though i dunno i just think jedi control lies within nadegrinding. now thati got my foot in the door STOP THE DIRTY NADE GRINDERS MWAHAHHA!@

you might want to rethink the uber part. Jedi are nothing more than normal strengthed, maybe a little more if that, stronger than 2 elite professions in combat. a TKM/CM will kick a jedis ass, trust me. All you are getting is a long grind with a glowy stick and BH's. Unless you roleplay, it aint that special anymore. Thank god I RP.

How on earth will somebody be able to become Padawan in 3 months? Please fill me in, as I'm fairly certain it takes a minimum of 18 weeks (4 1/2 months) to finish the Village. (not including free unlocks, of course)

it is a minimum of 18 weeks. No way around it. Maybe he counted it wrong.

Theoretically if you get force sensitive on the last day of a phase, finish the quest, wait for the other phases, and unlock and fill the final branch on the first day of your last phase, you can do it in 15 weeks and 2 days, not counting late phase shifts & stuff.
I got glowie on the second to last day of phase I on Bria, but I picked the borked crafting quest, so I couldn't unlock that branch. Now I have to wait for phase I to roll around again, hope they fixed the quest, do it, wait for phase I to end, and do my last branch in the 2nd phase II.

Can't stress this enough. Do NOT even bother playing a Jedi unless you are role-playing. Which I am as well.
