Thread: I can't find this anywhere, so I'm asking all of you...

Someone told me that instead of completing 6 FS trees, I could completer one branch (i.e. Heightened Senses) and accomplish the character unlock. To be honest, that's all I'm doing it for, but I'll probably keep Luck and Persuasion for my Smuggler.

So is there any truth to this?

"Jedi claims of being "broken" are like saying "But my TV isn't widescreen! It's broken! My TV can't show high-def pictures in 1080i, it can only do 720i! It's broken!" Meanwhile, crafters are saying "We'd really like to have a TV that's larger than 12" and gets more than 4 channels and doesn't constantly lose vertical control", and entertainers are saying "Can we get some color instead of this B&W piece of junk?" And smugglers? We're listening to radio programs of "The Shadow" and "The Abbot and Costello Comedy Hour" and hearing FDR's Fireside Chats. We don't even HAVE a damn TV, much less a broken one or a "broken" one by Jedi standards. I'd LOVE to be as "broken" as they are." - The Legendary Solo4114

No it's not true. If you did heightened senses, that is only 4 branches (one branch = one row.... as in the 4 boxes that make up persuasion for example).

You need 6 branchesto unlock, not 4.

Good luck!

Everyone always confuses "branches" and "trees"

True.

You get past the Village with 6 FS branches filled up. I think by "unlocked" they just meant getting past the Village.

You don't officially unlock until you do the Village exit quest (kill Mellichae), and finish your Padawan Trials. Then you're officially a Jedi Padawan, and you get your unlocked 2nd character.

I think the reason most people say you "unlock" after 6 FS branches are done is because compared to the FS grind, killing Mellichae and the trials are a piece of cake. It'll take a little time, but it'll get done without too much difficulty.

I have a question actually, do you really need to do 6 brances or can you do 24 err leaves/boxes instead ?

Is the 24 boxes OR 6 full branches confirmed?

Cause it would be much easier to unlock2 phases and do the first 2 boxes of 2 phases (branches) to equal one full branch.. LOTS less xp required.

I currently have 7 phases unlocked.. 4 were free and are full.

I have 1 box in ranged accuracy and 3 in melee speed as well.

Unfortunately I chose the Medic line and Luck line for my next ones.. so im doing Scout xp and Survival xp for senses.

Don't know what Scout xp caps at yet.. im at Tracking 4 in Ranger which is a 70K box.. but I havent capped yet.

And the Survival xp goes up with a macro crafting camps and traps.

But I can pretty easily get a first combat xp box.

If the 24 boxes thing is confirmed.. then I'm closer xp wise then I thought.

Standing in the middle of a nest, using a /Unarmedspinattack2 every second Macro... actually was fun.
Not quite sure why... but I really miss it.

Let me be clear: You need 6 full branches...NOT just 24 random boxes!

This confusion has caused many people on this forum a lot of grief and wasted time. I've read quite a few guys on here saying they did the first 2 boxes enough timesto get to 24and thought that was all they had to do. They were wrong.

Again: You need 6 full branches to become a Jedi initiate.

Thank you /bow2

Just 24 boxes would have been much easier.. but I still don't have far to go.
