Thread: A good Idea if you are grinding with Grenades...

Ok, like most of us, the grind can make you want to quit game. So i decided to make it a little easier on me.

Things You Need!

- Buffs - H,S,C,A,Q,S,M,F,W. (in other words, everything)

- Armor - Make sure it has at least 15k Cond.

- Weapon - Make sure it has at least 300 cond.

What to Do:

- Go to the Game Options on the Launchpad screen(the one before you press play)

- Click Graphics Tab

- Check the Box ''Windowed Mode''

- and set the Resolution to the lowest possible. (make sure your Desktop Resolution is at least one size larger)

- Grab a solo, and do what you regularly do

When You Get there:

- Do your grind normally, except make sure you have a full suit of 9 pieces on

- Attack the base with one reg attack, get all 5 or 6 monsters on you

- use the first stack (press once, pause for 3 secs, press four times after) That should throw a whole stack

- press Alt+Tab and do something else.

Sounds useless? Not really for me, I can let that run and look at the forums for about 15 secs and switch back. Takes alot of stress off of me, maybe not for many of you. But i wanted to share this and hopefully someone else can enjoy the easy grind in a more 'comfortable' way.

I guess its time for me to say....

Heh, yesterday I got fully buffed, bought up some spare armor pieces (didn't wanna stop grinding to repair), and headed to my first mission.

I started beating on the lair, and turned my head ever so slightly to reach for a cold drink sitting next to my monitor.

Suddenly my eyes darted back to the screen, and I noticed that (in full composite armor) my Health was...ohhhh...about 3/4 of the way gone.

Turns out a Nightsister Stalker showed up just as I pulled up to the nest. Probably beatin' on those Baz nitches when I pulled up, who knows.

So yeah - dead. Just had gotten buffs, had just bought new armor (and of course, forgot to insure them). I didn't kill one Baz nitch. Thank goodness a guildmate got out there and she res'd me. What a way to start a buff session!

Oh, and after I was res'd, the Stalker and the Doc were dukin' it out. I bolted for my Swoop, got about 10m away (still full HAM) and suddenly ZAP! my Swoop explodes into a huge fireball. I was momentarily disappointed, until I realized it wasn't disabled. It just had 233/2350 HAM left. I stored it and ran like a fool. Eventually I limped back to the starport with my Swoop shooting fireballs out of the back, and my guildie rebuffed me and tried to comfort me. The repair job on the Swoop cost about 9000 credits.

My point - yeah, by all means, get your eyes off that screen for awhile otherwise the grind may make you kinda nuts. But, never forget that the place you're grinding in has other nasties that wander around, looking to end your buff session....prematurely. And they usually can't get enough of trying to blow your vehicle to smithereens.

Haha.

Thought I'd share. Happy grinding, everyone!

Actuallty, I believe you need the boots and not the pants. And I am just starting my grind and this sounds like it will help ease the suffering and not dry out my eyeballs.

I just open up My Music folder and start with song #1 Nothing like watching ABC while grinding too. Talking in Guild chat is entertaining but slows me down because sometimes I stop to type something in if I'm at the mission terminal or a lair.

All I would modify is this statement. You do not need boots, bracers or biceps.
