Force Sensitive Archive

I know that you need six branches and I know about the xp conversion thing and the phases, but I was just wondering how exactly do you get to pick what skill things you have like vehicular control, luck, melee defense, etc etc etc..... So, how does this work? Also, how hard are the missions you get while in village? And does anyone know how long padawan trials take?
