dont yall know yet that CSRs are lazy punks that dont care the least little bit about helping you with your problems. they just want to to submit a ticket so that they can tell you whatever your problem is it is working as intended and to go F yourself as they close the ticket not allowing you to respond and never having even been in the balpark of the problem in the first place

Hi
I put in a ticket, not a bug, for the not working ranged speed, I wanted them to make me have completede that melee speed instead.
I got the responce after long talk, seemes the CSR didnt have a clue that it is not working.
"The Jedi Correspondent is not an official SOE employee. It is not an official developerposting, from what I understand. Also, we don't have the ability to ungrant your branches. Furthermore, we have no reason to belive that the skills are not working. Therefore, we cannot grant your request. However, if you truely feel it is bugged, feel free to submit a /bug report via the holocron"
Why cant we have a Dev comment on if the skill is working or not?

OK, I actually have three boxes of range speed because that was the very first one I unlocked, prior to hearing about it being broken, and I was impatient to see some filled-in boxes asap; I intend to keep it through the combat upgrade, have fun shooting things for a little while, then dump it when I go jedi.
It DOES seem like it's working and I did notice a difference after getting each box. I haven't gone as far as gotten another rifleman w/o range speed to shoot things side by side with me, using identical guns, just to see if I hit more, but if someone on Sunrunner wants to get all picky on the numbers and fire off a few rounds with me to see if it really is broken, send me a tell. You have to do all that meticulous stopwatch type stuff though.

at a master level....itmay be difficult to discern the difference between fs and nonfs ranged speed since you're only a few points from being speed capped.
from a non master standpoint....where you feel the affects more...it definitely does not seem to be working, but i havent done any time measures outside of macro time adjustments.

Note that I'm a Master Rifleman but not a Master Marksman, so I could have been feeling the FS Range Speed love because I'm not quite capped while running around in my everyday armor. I did feel a significant difference in my ability to get the jantas before they touch me with each FS box, and when I filled those in I was hunting with average, damage-sliced T21s. Maybe it is only "broken" with regard to speed capped players.
I intend to go ahead and get Master Marksman once I get all my crafting out of my system and drop Tailor and Artisan, so that might make range speed moot. Maybe it's a good skill only for the occasional shooter but not for someone with a more gun-centric template.
But still, I'd love to go shooting with you sometime Kawika, it's been a while
