After trying EQ2 for a short period, I came back to SWG and decide to go jedi. I checked the phase schedule and realized I only had a week to make it to the village, but if I could, I would save 3 weeks off how long this ordealtakes. And with the up coming CU, 3 weeks could mean a lot.

It was cutting it close, but I became FS Sunday and was visited by the old man last night. I get on today and shortly afterthe sith attack. I thought "awesome". The phase shift is any day now, probably tonight.I have Wednesdaysoff. I will pull an all-nighter,finish this first phase of the village and, after a long nap, possibly finish a second phase tomorrow.

But, just as the sith engage me, about 12 aggressive blue mobs attack. I looked at this as annoying, but 14 bluemobs, not to big a deal. So I drop the sith first. They went down fast. Then, Imoved slightly to the side, so all the little rat bodies wouldn't stack on the sith and make it a pain to loot them. I'm an old time gamer. Finish what is attacking you first, then loot. You'll live longer.

The first rat drops in about 5 seconds and I look back at the two sith to be sure there is plenty of room to drop the other 11 or so rats and not cover their bodies. Wait, did I say two sith bodies, there is only one there now. Hmmm, maybe the other is behind that grass?

I drop all the rats in about a minute, maybe 2, andgo to where the sith should be. No, the body was not behind the grass and now the second one is gone. But I checked the boards before starting this thing, not one thread said the sith disappear in 5 seconds so loot fast.

Well, thats frustrating.

Let me guess, the sith will not reappear for another 24 hours minimum. Add 3 weeks to this process. Plus what ever the CU changes will add.

Eh, its not like I had anything better to do anyway.

This last time I became FS, I was waiting for the Sith to attack and shuttled into a city that had a base next to the shuttle. As soon as I stopped zoning, I saw a dead sith and in the next instant, the other one died. Looking around, I saw a Sith Hunter with a satisfied look on his face.

Ya, you’re right, the story did continue from there. Latter last night the sith did attack again. This time I looted them as they dropped and got the data pad. However, when I tried to use it I got a message that said you have to loot this item before you can use it.

Well, at least this is starting to become a predictable pattern. So I checked the boards and sure enough, I found this is an old bug, one that has been around for at least a year. Some posts claimed it happens when you loot one sith before killing them both.

The only solutions I could find were relog, drop the data pad in your house then pick it up or just wait for the sith to attack again. Well, relogging is easy so I did that. That didn’t work. I even tried logging off, giving it about 15 mins and logging back on. The data pad still didn’t work.

So I went to my house and dropped the data pad. Ya, that didn’t work either. The funny thing was I did this twice also, some how expecting a different result when I did exactly the same thing! I think I was getting tired by then.

This left wait for the sith to attack again. Yuck, the passive method. I was standing out side my house debating which post to believe, the one that said you had to delete the data pad for the sith to attack or the one that said you just had to wait 24 hours, (neither one sounded good to me) when the sith attacked. Ya baby, Yoda likes me. This time I killed them both then looted. The pad worked.

Ok, so what did we learn?

1 The sith bodies disappear fast.

2)Loot them fast, but kill them both first.

3) The movies got it all wrong, the sith are actually quit nice. Once they attack, they keep attacking until they give you a working data pad. If the pad doesn’t work, just wait, they will attack you again.)

4)I'm getting to old for all-nighters. The village can wait till the morning.
