Having absolutely no knowledge of the quest system i went over to the Sgt. he directed me to. I talked to him, pressed random conversational options till I got my quest. Prior to this I wasn't aware of any quest-givers that gave multiple quests. I have no idea which ones i picked and worst of all we never completed the quest. Now I realize that I cant drop the quest my my question is, is the quest dropped after the phase changes?
yes quests drop after phase changes, plus you took the phase three combat quest to destroy the base, its the only multi person quest given by the sarg.

Plus after you achieve Jedi and you decided the 6 trees you have are not the ones you want you can train a 7th and drop one...you never know you might want that tree later on, now you have the leg work done.

I am kind of under the understanding that once you achieve padawan, FS xp becomes Jedi XP, and there is no conversion to be done.
So all Jedi XP you make can actually be used towards the FS trees in question if you truly wanted to. It goes a lot quicker this way obviously.

So let's say I unlock 6 trees, any 6 trees, and later on I decide that I really would have gotten a lot more good out of a different tree and one of mine just sucks. Can I, as a Jedi, go BACK to the village during the appropriate phase and unlock the skill I think I would benefit more from, train it up, and then drop the other box?

hhe, oops, missed a bit.
yes, but you have to have at least 6 branches at all times once you become jedi, so if you want to do this, you have to train in the 7th before dropping one of the original 6

Cool, I'm not going to worry about skipping any phases to get the exact skills I want then, I'll just take the best available as it comes and see how much I like persuasion once i get Padawan lol, I might wind up sticking with it anyway. Basically it's take persuasion or wait 6 more weeks for ranged defense to come around, persuasion is sounding better every day
