Thread: The BIG Confusion, Im Totally Lost

Well, I have been playing swg a long time, and a few days ago i decided it was time for me to finally start what i have put off for so long... becoming a jedi. I already had the nessecary badges to become glowing in the force, except the long, boring, and dont forget confusing warren. I got someadvice from my guild then headed to the warren. In a long 3 hours i finally completed the quest and got both badges. Then as planned, when i used /check i found i was glowing in the force. So the next day i got out my notebook and bombarded my guild jedi with questions. I wrote everything down that was about to happen to make sure i would know what to do when i got there. So as i was told, the old man shows up while im buying ship parts and gives me the force crystal. The next dayI was hanging out at jabbas and got ambushed by some noobish sith thugs. I picked up the disk and headed to the wp provided (FS Village). So i fly over to Dathomir and ride over to the village hoping to start some fs training. When i arrive, i have no clue what to do so i talk to some npcs. I get a new profession called force progression, and so im thinking, cool now i just get a quest or something and do some boring grinding and ill be a jedi yet! I talk to some others andthey say something about sith thugs attacking the village. So now im thinking, haha, these guys are nubs! I killed them in one shot when they attacked me on tatooine... So to my suprise, when these guys show up, they totally pwn me.. i wasnt even buffed. So i run as fast as i can out of the village and set up a camp away from the village. I look in my professions and i realize i got another profession? Now im REALLY confused. Wth is combat prowess? So i talk to my guild again and start to peice things together. But I have yet to scratch the surface of this, will someone tell me WTH is going on?
So i am told, ihave tocomplete 6 trees of FS skills to become initiate, but im still a little unsure about this whole thing. Do i have to do the village quest as well? I would greatly appreciate it if someone would clarify this whole thing to me. If someone wouldexplain the force progression thing and the village im sure i can figure out the rest. Thanks.

Many will tell you to read the stickies, but even when searching the stickies, one might not know what to search for, so I will try my best to explain it.
The village is made up of 4 Phases, in which each phase cycles every 3 weeks allowing you to do various quests per phase. Though, there are a few selections a phase, you may only take 1 quest per phase. In total you need to fill 6 lines to become an initiate. You recieve a line each quest per phase you complete. You need 6 lines, therefore you must complete 6 phases. There are only 4 phases, but they will loop after phase 4. Meaning after phase 4, its phase 1 and it will continue that way.

So let me make sure i got this right...
By completing a quest in the village, you obtain one line of fs skills? I chose combat prowess, and took that quest to fight off the sith shadow thugs and pirates. So by killing the 50/25 i will automatically get 0004 (for example) in combat prowess?
You say u can only take one quest per phase? So that means when i complete this quest i cannot take another one untill phase 2 comes about? What phase is it now, and how long till the phase change?
So then by completing the village, you become a jedi initiate? Ok think i got this right, plz correct me if im wrong.

Yes, you do get the 0004 in Combat Prowess, but its only unlocked. You then have to train in it by converting your Normal Weapon and/or Combat experience in for FS experience.
Yes, after you complete the phase you have to wait however much time is left until the phase shifts. The wait time is 3 weeks between phases, sometime 3-5 days after it should shift. Most Servers it is Phase 4 now, and the shift should be Tuesday the latest for all servers.
And then, after unlocking 6 branches (lines) and training in them all, you wait for the old man and do your exit quest, which is fighting Mellichae. After defeating Mellichae, you then begin Padawan trials and become an Initiate.

And one more tidbit,it takes about 130 elite combat xp caps to get all 6 trees of FS. So if you are rifle,swords,etc,get 900k of that xp which will also give 90k of combat xp. You convert this at the village to 60k FS xp. 130 caps and you are a jedi!
