Thread: helped a group member with Mel

we grouped, i told themcause i was rifleman to stay back from the camp while i take out the crystals, and one of the group members went in and they all went ape poop. people need to read these forums on how to do it, we DID get all the crystals , all the sith, even Mel's body guard. but since no jedi mel got us all...quick. when i comes to my turn to do the camp i bringin two jedi with me, a combat medic or two and plenty of TK's

heh I helped a friend with this.
8 or 10 of us, most of us were TKM we just blew in took out the crystals took out Mal then his Bodyguard. None of us even died or came close to it. I personally thought that the hype applied to this quest is a bit too much. We had fun though.

Same here. I am beginning to think that "help" other than a Jedi or a skilled PvPer that can keep their cool would have been more of a hindrance than anything. As a rifleman, you can stay out of harm's way and take out everything from a distance quickly and quietly. I tend to think that if you have a "damn the torpedoes" "helper" along for the ride, he would get you both killed as you try to coordinate with his reckless approach.

i rifleman too, maybe that's what went wrong, the others got to close, though how come when i attacked first crystasl (though it was wrong one) some of the sith went argo on me?

you were using conceal shot right?

They will occassionally aggro you, even while conceal-shotting those crystals. As long as it's not Mel or Daktar, just mow them down with your special of choice. Only if the big two attack do you need to mount up and ride around camp until aggro breaks.

I'm Rifleman with some TKA, and just soloed Mel on Tuesday night. It wasn't fast in my case, I was being careful - but I DID manage to aggro Daktar and slugged it out with him and a few Thugs. After that I set up a mount macro, since I was using conceal shot the whole way, so figured he aggroed due to a crystal going down. Mel later did the same, and I circled around and left him for last ... anyway, for my tactics "helpers" wouldn't have helped unless they were willing to stand guard for a LONG time...
