hehe I recently resubscribed to the game last weekend after being fed up with them changing the way you get jedi last August ... Pre publish 9 I had done 28 professions (hologrinder heh)

So I logged back in on saturday and did the old man quest etc.. went to village and got 5 tree's .. was quite happy with the compensation although instant access to padawan trials would've been nicer .. but meh what can ya do..

Anyways I grinded Survival tree in about 2 - 3 days ... using master rifleman and slaughtering everything on dathomir heh)

Anyways .. all done now .. got all 6 tree's .. just waiting for the old man to show up so I can go slaughter mallichae!!

Cheers,

Well, nice one and all that, however, there wasn't any need for you to insult everyone who used grenades by calling us exploiters.

Before you decide to call something an exploit, go look up what the meaning of that word is please. Then go and find out what type of xp grenades give you, and what type of xp the field tactics tree of commando requires to advance in it.
Then come back and apologise to everyone here for calling the grenade users all exploiters.

Thanks.

exploiting is taking advantage of a bug in a game that has unintentional side effects. For the dev's to limit combat exp gain from everything else except this one thing shouts out a bug to me .. quite sure they were trying to fix the problem back in the beta days back when I started but they never did ...

I doubt the dev's intentionally meant for that to be there ... I did not insult the exploiters I merely said that was not the path I chose .. doesnt make me any better or worse than you I was just stating what I did .. if you don't like it no-one made you read that post.

I won't apologise to anyone because I didnt insult anyone.

i don't mean to argue. but:you grinded 1.2 mill fs xp. the rest of us have some 7+ mill to grind out total. don't start throwing jabs at people who are in a situation that you were never in.

this is like a squad leader complaining becuase their xp has the worst turn in ratio. i took the time to grind commando. i haven't done anything wrong.

From what I understand, grenades yield combat xp because they are, by all means, the most ineffective weapons in the game (the other thrown weapons such as combat medic poisons and ranger traps yield much more success with far less xp). The throwing speed really doesn't speed up as you progress up the line and accuracy sucks unless you throw it at a lair. With the amount of incoming damage a person suffers while using grenades is considered, 5k combat xp is pretty deserved. That is my assumption over why the system is written as such. I'm one of these commandos who ground out the prof just to use the combat xp at the end. I have yet to max out my xp in a buff session, but came close. However, after I transferred my xp to fs xp, and returned to the cantina, I had over 500BF. I only get so much BF if I get shot down in JTL. Never have I received such damage and armor decay as I've received doing commando. It's worth it only in the xp reward at the end. So exploit? I think not. Bug? Nada.

If anything, it's one of the only redeemable qualities of commando outside all the other bugs existent in the prof. Was your statement an insult? Neah, just misinformed.

"Wasn't trying to be offensive..."
LOL. Then perhaps you shouldn't of called those of us who used grenades: Exploiters.
If you had just perhaps stated it as you said you did. Something like:
"Well, i finally did it and no use of grenades either."
That would've been far more respectable. But you had to let your little dig get in the way by adding you didn't exploit by using nades like the rest of us did, thus implying that EVERY SINGLE GRENADE USER is an exploiter.
How to make friends and influece people is not your forte i'm guessing.

I personally did take offense at that. Since i DO NOT exploit, and if this particular method was an exploit then the dev team would've stopped it by now, since we're into the 3rd round of the phases already.

How about i go and make assumptions on how you worked all those 28 professions during the hologrind eh? I'm sure you AFK macroed them all or as many as you could.
Did you use a 3rd party app to save clicking for the crafting professions? Probably.

Pot calling the kettle black. I expect so.

Please organise your expected paragraph of words and attempt to defend yourself. I'm done here.
Will i continue in this petty little argument? No.
