Thread: People who are afraid of getting visibility when they hit jedi please read...

Basically its nothing big to be afraid of unless u provoke it. What you do is real simple when u grind, just dont equip your saber until you get to your mission, thats what i do at least. If you say like a player see's u from 32m away is too close, really 32m is a pretty long distance when u look at it. I was scared when i unlocked because i thought all this visibility stuff would kill me, but actually, its pretty easy not to get visibility.
How to get Visibility:
Equip your Robe in public. (if you have the robe equipped before you entered the city you wont get visibility) (Not sure if this gets you visibility, Rumor says yes and no, if somebody can find out before me post it up here please? Thanks)
Equip your saber in public. (if you have the saber equipped before you entered the city you wont get visibility)
Use force. (If you use lets say force run before you enter the player city,you wont get visibility if you enter the city with it on)
When in public, you get attacked by an npc and your saber ignites. (This is why i just dont show my saber in public to be safe)
How to avoid Visibility:
If you want to show off your robe to your friends, make sure u have it on before you are 32maway them.
If you want to show off your saber, just make sure u have it equipped 32m away, but you cannot ignite it no matter what.
You cant use the force in public, that simple, unless you already have force run on before you are in the city.
Dont attack npc with your saber or use force on them. If you get attacked by one, you may not get visibility but if you do, you wont get alot.
YOU CAN show off your title in public. You can have the little (Jedi Padawan) title up and you wont get visibility.

Hey man, nice post...but i thought wearing the title.."jedi padawan" would get me some visb...im pretty sure it does...are u sure about wearing and not gettin visb?

My suggestion: if you want to receive plenty of hate tells from others who see you, then display your title.
If you like to play your game without dealing with the peons who enjoy being hateful, then remove the title and you'll find no one hassles you.

My fav title of all time was when I had Artisan Domestic Arts IV.. "Homemaker"

No it doesn't. I have worn my title Jedi Padawan since Nov and never got vis until 3 months later when i killed some imp npcs with my saber heh.

While interesting,your observationis not meaningful. Once you exceed an unknownamount of hidden visibility you appear on the terms. It is a threshold. Tuning may or may not have increased your visibility. There is no way for you to know for sure.
Other activities that use the force bar are known to increase visibility, so it is generally accepted that tuning would do so too. There is also some anecdotal evidence on the Jedi forums that indicates it does.One playerclaimshe did a lot of tuning in front of guildmates and he went on the terminals because of it.
