No, you get all six trees, wait for the old man, defeat the leader of the siths, then you will get the WP to a shrine, you get your Jedi Trials there, after the 8th trial you will get your training saber and obtain "Jedi Initiate" then once you complete the other 8 trials (16 Total) you get your Padawan status, robes, and your alternate.

You have to fill all 4 boxes in each of the 6 branches before you get the "next" visit from the old man.
