if thats the case then sony just put the icing on the cake... they screw people over in this game so badly its unbelievable.. i've had aboutevery glitch known on the game happen to me good and bad (mostly bad) i've had houses items and my entire bank account wiped.. alli can say is no wonder people are leaving the game - the only fun things in the game get nerfed .. what a joke.

if not getting one unlock has you that discouraged you probably would have quit before you ground out the other 5.

no its the fact that this has happened on more than one occasion -i already have 5 unlocked on sunrunner i just didnt wanna play that server ...

it says how it works in the guides ... there were 8 unknown prof on the way to jedi prepublish 9 ( i think) ... holocrons 1 2 3 4 then silents 5 6 7 8 (after they figured out that too manhy people were unlocking too easily --- not positive this is true)
its how many unknown profs you mastered MINUS 2 .... = how many free unlocks you get ... so
1 holo -2 = 0
2 holos -2 = 0
3 holos -2 = 1
4 holos -2 = 2
...and so on to 8 - 2 = 6 (there could have been a 9th unknown to account for 8 down and no jedi but again speculation) ... after the 4 holos its anyone's guess what profs are what ...
i mastered 2 of my holos and i didnt receive any free unlocks as well .. thats cause its 2 - 2 = 0 .... its working as intended from this (most from the guide)
if im wrong then sue the guide maker and the others who post this kinda stuff

I tried to explain to him that I did my 4 holo's (Chef, Rifleman, TKA, BH) then mastered 13 other professions. I should have at least by your reckoning recieved at least 2 free unlocks, which I did not. The response was that there was no way for them to check if I mastered a profession before the revamp. After deleting the ticket and shaing my head, I just gave up worring about it. Customer Service in this game is a joke. The only advice I can give is to grind it out. I have 4 branches finished, the xp required for the last 2 all I am waiting on now is pase 2 and 3. Good Luck.

has anyone had any problems with this?
i grinded 2 professions on the old "holocron" system
Scout i did for sure 100% and im like 95% sure i did fencer for holocron also
reson i say 95% is because i did it when the holocrons first come out and i was grinding on 2 different servers..
anyway my question is has anyone done this and not gotten their free unlocks?.... i went the the village to hand in to the little rodian guy and he wouldnt give my free unlocks to me.. anyone have any ideas?... i sent a ticket cos i deserve it if anything for putting up with these sort of glitches.

had a friend who ground out ID (his first holo prof) and got 0 branches unlock. wrote a ticket about itand got the too bad response.

You will get 0 free unlocks unless you have mastered some of your silent profs.
As far as i can remember you get 0 free unlocks for completing your 4 Holo profs and then 1 free unlock for every silent after that you completed after that.
At the end i seem to remember that there were 6 silent profs which was why most people ended up having to master 30+ professions to unlock on the old system.
I mastered my 4 Holo profs and then a further 21 professions and only got 3 unlocks so it is possible based on this that you could master 13 and not have hit any of your silents.... No way of knowing.
I guess the main thing to remember is that unless you've got all 6 unlocked 1 really isn't going to make much difference, it's still a long road ahead.

Sounds like my "Problem"... (Quotations for the fact that i lost my character.)
when i was on Bria, i mastered 5 Holo Profs before the Publish 10 Shift. head to the village?... in the words of Ali G....
"BOOYAKASHA!".... No Unlocks. i CSR it. takes me a day to get a response. the response then leads to a series of Q&A Sessions with a Live CSR that eventually lead to my being told... "We're Sorry, but it seems... *Enter Quality Made-up Excuse Here*".
Come on, SOE. i may be 17, but i can tell when i'm being BS'ed.
Anyways. after the whole Ordeal, i got pertubbed by the fact that even though i had NO Unlocks, i was still able to get into the village, and then mentioned THIS to the CSR, when i had VERY Few Badges. (Including my Profession Badges). This Ticket got NO Response. and in the Frustration, i deleted my character.
Chalk up another Ba-leeted 'Toon to SOE.
Oh Well... i'm 2 "Unlocks" (AKA Empty Branches i haven't yet filled.)into my 6 on Chilastra. now to do the missions as they come, and Nade Grind the XP Before they cheat me and many others again.
