►How long do you think it would take a casual to moderate player to finish the Village Quests? I play about 2-4 hours on each week day, and Friday, Saturday and Sunday 5 hours +...I've heard some people say that it will take them a year to complete the Village. Hope that's not so...

(Sorry if this has been asked before)

I'm currently waiting for the old man, but my belief, reading the guides is that it would take me a couple of weeks seeing that i play at least 6 hours on week days and 16 hours on weekends, i dunno what do you think

What would be another template for FS grinding that involves being TKM? (NO COMMANDO, I'm not a bank...)

Ok let melet you in on a little secret I know.

Anyone who wants to know is welcome.

If you are an elite melee profession or ranged profession, here's the secret.

I would assume you want Combat Prowess and Enhanced Reflex skills.

If you do, then you're set. In the beginning of each phase, complete the mission you desire and max your xp(900k).

If one maxes his or her xp(900k) and turns it in once per day you will be done in exactly 18 weeks.

You will get 60k of fs xp per day(combat xp is great!).

Just think, if you have free branches, then you can, by very careful planning, finishForce Sensitive faster.

It is helpful to know that if you max you xp once per day, you can get FS done in exactly 18 weeks.

Hope this helps you.

Well to give you some ideas, the total XP needed (assuming combat tree's only) is 7,450,000 (1,225,000 for each of the 6 branches and 100,000 for the 2 novice boxes)

If you do the normal 900k weapons and 90k combat xp cap method (60k FS xp), then that means a whapping 125 visits to the village to convert the xp !

so, basic maths gives the following, 1 cap a day = 125 days, 2 caps a day = 68 days,

based on your gaming style, if you said 1 cap mon-thurs and then 3 on fri/sat/sun , that would give you 13 caps a week = ~ 10 weeks

if you do the 300k combat xp (100k FS xp) then the numbers change a bit as only 75 trips are needed (50 less!)

so the same maths gives 1 cap a day =75 days, 2 caps a day =38 days,
based on your gaming style, if you said 1 cap mon-thurs and then 3 on fri/sat/sun , that would give you 13 caps a week = ~ 6 weeks

If you can do the full cap method, 300k combat +900k weapons (130k FS xp) 58 trips are needed (67 less!)

so the same maths gives 1 cap a day =58 days, 2 caps a day =29 days,
based on your gaming style, if you said 1 cap mon-thurs and then 3 on fri/sat/sun , that would give you 13 caps a week = ~4.5 weeks

Hope this puts some perspective on it

Oh and an afterthought.... lol

Time spent traveling to the village , it takes between 12 and 15 mins (depending how many trees, harvesters, knocked off bike happen) to go to the village and back from the science outpost. taking average =13.5mins

So doing 125 visits = 1687.5 mins = 28.125 hrs !!!!!

so in that time you will spend 28.125hrs (or in your case 1 week's gaming) just riding to the village and back !

And we pay SOE a monthly fee so that we can do stuff like this... my god. I think we all need OUR heads examined. I honestly believe that the management at SOE needs to quickly find out what "game content" truly means to the paying customers (that would be us). Simply saying "make it last, or take, longer" is NOT the way to do things. Blah, blah, blah... I'm done ranting now. Sorry about that. Carry on.

I decided not to do grenades either. I tried it, but I got bored, no point in paying for something if its boring.

So, what I do is Max my pistol xp (900k), hvy wpn xp (900k), and get my combat xp over 210k. This takes about 2 buff sessions.

Sometimes it takes me two days, sometimes, like today, one.

Every time I visit the village I turn in ~130k to ~160k (depending on total combat xp) Combat FS xp.

The same could easily be done with a TKM, MSwdsmn.

I find a good way to visit the village is put everything decayable in the bank. Clone at the science station. Drive the 6min to the village. Then to get back, die.

If you want a good grinding spot, I like Lok. I go to a city in the center of the map, and speeder towards the corsair stronghold. Kill everything with two legs on the way (and some with 4). You get good loot, money, and xp. Then when you get to the stronghold, kill everyone there (incl the Kimos). wander the area killing everything with two legs. This includes Gurk nests, since the gurk king sometimes drops his hide (for RIS armor). Not a boring as going back and forth doing missions. At least to me. This is just one zabarak's opinion.

Enjoy

I met a guy from Germany who claimed he didn't have a job, but simply spent 100% of his time playing SWG. It's possible too, the German welfare is very good I believe where if you lose your job, your government allowance is something like 90% of you previous salary. I'd say he was a powergamer. 20-40 hours as being casual is subjective, if he works part time and only sleeps 5 hours a night then the percentage of his spare time spent on SWG is small.

It's all relevant.... or irrevelevant depending on which way you look at it...
