I heard you can do the quest and get this reward simply by picking up novice artisan. is this true??

yep but this quest involves 200 sith loot drop resources to complete (both the Phase 2 and 3 quests), and I beleive you have to win a catagory , most or best to get LS kit . I just got oneat this phase shift, cheak the stickies (guide to Auireillien quest) for more info
