Thread: Partner for Phase Three Commander Quest

Ok, i understand that by doing it with a partner you get the mind crystal buffer. My question is, once you start the quest with a partner, do you have to finish it with the same partner and do the exact same thing you decided to do?
For example:
Me and my guildmate decided to do the quest. I picked to lower the shield and he picked to lead the commander. We got as far as getting most of the wp's and shield frequencies looted from sith spawns...but we were like screw this becuase we didnt want to wait 2 hours for a base reset.
My question is, when i pick this mission back up to finish it do I have to be with the guildie i was with? or can i choose a new partner or such. also, if we can choose new partners, are we stuck with doing the same role or can that be changed too?

I'd like to know the answer to this as well. I keep having visions of getting a partner who gets pissed and cancels his account before we complete the mission and then I'm screwed lol.

NO if you pick to capture, find someone that picked to lower the shield. You are stuck with the same role cause its a village quest which cant be dropped. Instance, Say player1 picks capture, player2 picks lower shield. Player2 has to leave for whatever reason. Player1 wants to keep going on and trying. Player1 would have to find player3 to do player2 part of the job. I hope this help you out in understanding. Once you take a quest in the village you cant drop it even if its a group quest.

can you farm the frequency code before taking the mission? you know , to save time before you get your partner so all will be ready .

You can farm the codes w/o having a partner but I think you have to at least have the mission so that you can give it back to the Capt to see which camp the code is for.

Hee hee. so..... I was wondering if I can kill the siths for the codes. .... get a bunch...... then take the mission when I find someone willing to do it with me. then turn in the codes for the freq.
Does this make since and can I do it.
