Thread: Experience monitor

Probably nothing but wanted to throw this out there for input ...

When I'm going up a skill tree and I train ... the next item to appear on my exp monitor (I usually have four skills showing) is the next level of the skill tree I'm working. But if I reach the end of a single line in the tree or hit master, the same profession always pops up on the monitor: Marksman Carboneer I.

I kept wondering why this is. I'm figuring it's because I have Marksman's Pistol up toIV and carb would be next. I also have the spices 4, which is the far right last skill line in Smuggler, and I'm thinking it's sort of the next skill in line if you keep going to the right.

Anyway, I still have a long way toFSCS (2 basic, 1 elite, 1 hybrid, only one holo profession so far) but if one of my holo professions or hidden happens to be Carboneer or Master Marksman, I'll let ya know.

Best!

So you're saying when you reach a mastery or end of a skill lineit will reset to politician? I do get polotician sometimes but only when my interface resets, but when I'm training a skill, it goes to the carboneer one. Weird stuff. I appreciate the feedback, thank.

How is this lazier than using the experience monitor for tracking your progress for any other skill? Thanks for the info Snuggles, but what I'm looking for is tracking a skill I already have. Say I'm a TKM... and I'm grinding unarmed exp. I'd want to have a box from that profession monitored. This problem is the experience monitor seems to filter out the skills you have already trained. Is there a known way to pick one that I already have?

Just wondering while I've been grinding away.... Is there a way to possibly use a console command to put a skill you've already attained on the monitor again? I think I remember after mastering something the monitor doesn't change until you select something else. I'm just hoping there is a way to get it to do that so I can avoid pressing ctrl-s all the time to check on exp.

what you can do is monitor a combat line of something you don't have. look at it and multiply by 10 and you have what your trying to cap.
